Ordered a cheeseburger and fries to go for my Son’s lunch today. We both like the fries as much or more than the sandwiches!!
I asked for crispy (browned) fries when I placed the order and kindly reminded the counter staff again just to make sure then tipped her nicely. Moments after leaving, we realized we had received luke warm and limp, (undercooked) fries that spoke to the staff’s inability to pay attention to details.
Perhaps it had somewhat to do with the very skinny fries available here. Still, the French-fried potatoes were not even browned and barely cooked. When they do this after two prompts, then hand you a bag meal that disappoints, that’s just expensive dishonesty and disheartening.
My gift and special treat to my hard working Son was not respected. A thirty minute lunch break does not permit a second chance.
Update: When I returned to report the problem, the store’s manager overheard me talking with the woman that was taking care of my order, then followed me out the door to apologize and later, gave me a gift card to make things right. He obviously cares. I will come back and try sometime again soon.
Review upgraded significantly. If it’s not right, let them know and they will fix it.

Today I purchased the Texas Cheesesteak and fries. The sandwich was delicious, but the fries weren’t hot. This annoys me, because the meal itself was $14.72 ish and no drink. The prices are outrageously ridiculous. I didn’t have time to go back for fresh fries, and what’s the point?! The fry bag barely had fries in it. A total wast of money.

Nothing beats a deli/diner and Chappy’s did not disappoint. One of the most friendly, outgoing, and down to earth servers and staff I’ve ever been around. The food was excellent. We’ve had breakfast and lunch from there several times and they are consistent in their service and quality of food. 10/10 Will be back.

Went on a recommendation for sandwiches but I really wanted a salad. The Athenian Greek salad was perfection with their homemade vinaigrette. Fresh, crisp lettuce, and great toppings. At the end of my meal my waitress mentioned they offer a mini soft serve included and it was some of the best soft serve I’ve ever had?! Would come here just for ice cream at night if they were open late enough. I’m not from Auburn so I’m sure this is a known staple but so good and fabulous staff. Takarea was my waitress and she was the absolute sweetest!

Food is awesome, for me the steak and cheese omelette is best however all of them are so delicious. The people working there are sweet and tale care of you ensuring you are comfy and feel at home!

Food: My party and I ordered the conecuh scramble, steak and cheese omelet with bacon and a kids m&m pancake with bacon. Each dish was made to order and we nearly cleaned our plates.
Service: We were immediately greeted upon entering the location and seated shortly thereafter. Overall our server was nice and the other staff members assisted with my table’s requests when the server was busy.
Atmosphere: What’s not to love about Chappy’s Deli? The restaurant was clean and there were sanitizing stations at the entrance along with sanitizing wipes at each table. While masks were optional for customers, all staff members wore a face covering of some kind.
Recommendation: I highly recommend Chappy’s and plan to visit this location in the very near future.

Excellent service from Owen. Laid back atmosphere but felt more like casual dining than a deli & I appreciated that. I enjoyed their seasonal menu & look forward to trying regular menu items in the future.
