House beers are tapped to pair with gastropub dinner & brunch fare in an industrial-chic space.

Stopped through Chapel + Main in Dover, NH for a few pours of varying styles on a sunny Saturday afternoon. It had been two & a half years since I had last been & well before I started taking the page seriously so I was due for a return. Unfortunately this visit was a little lackluster because they only had two of their own beers on draft, but luckily they had some guest taps as well to help make up for it. These guys are one of three breweries located within a easy walking distance with Garrison City Beerworks & Empty Pint Brewing Company being the other two. They are more restaurant than brewery, but that’s not a bad thing, I unfortunately had eaten at the previous stop so we didn’t get any food. Around since 2017 they must be doing something right though, let’s get into the beer though & the guest tap I scooped. ☘
I started out with a pint of the TROPICAL DEPENDENCE BRETT PALE ALE, a good, hoppy & funky ale with pineapple. My second pint was the DOLCE VITA Italian Pilsner, this was really good, crisp & refreshing & the winner of the two beers I had from them. I got the BIRD DOG HARD CIDER from the guest tap for my third pour, it was a good average cider & had some bite for 6.8%ABV. ☘
They have a full bar here & a large cocktail menu with plenty of mixed drinks & wine options. All the seating options including bar, tables, hightops & a patio section outside during the warmer months. All & all a good visit, I just wish I could have gotten more of their beer to try. Cheers! ☘✌♥️
BEERGASM RATING – 76/100 ☘☘☘✌♥️

I would give it another go, but first time didn’t smash out of the park. Def stop for drinks and dessert though!
Had the crispy duck leg. For $24, it was literally a crispy duck leg on what looked like cabbage and a very, very thinly-distributed vinaigrette. Wasn’t impressed, especially when the description had what felt like more green to complement. Had a touch of the chicken pot pie and although it was very rich and comforting, could have used more gravy.
But the star of the show, food-wise, was the brown butter brownie. I don’t know how this was so good for as simple as it was, but it is almost worth being disappointed with the main meal first. Absolutely delicious.
They have live music here. They played Christmas-themed tunes and I did love how supportive everyone was of the band. It’s a bit loud as the area is pretty small, but maybe I’m just getting old and crochety now. The noise level is moderate and you can hold a conversation without the band playing, though.
Everyone was so nice and welcoming, loved the staff!

Great place. Menu must change dynamically with the seasons and food since very few of reviewers pictures were in the menu. That makes it great. They had an awesome selection of their own beers and fantastic food to go with it. I had the C+M meatloaf sandwich and some poutine as an appetizer. Wish I also got the beet salad as it looked great. Really good selection of hard to find bourbons as well. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic experience here! I ordered the chickpea dumplings and my partner had the fish and chips—both dishes were absolutely divine, with generous portions. I’m usually skeptical about vegetarian options at places where that’s not the specialty, but the chickpea dumplings were outstanding and full of flavor.
We also happened to visit on a night with live music. Although we usually prefer quieter settings, it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise and added to the overall atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot!

Some of the best food in Dover but one warning: don’t go on Sunday! The menu is severely limited and they run out of the popular items quickly. When I went the first time, it was fantastic (if you want good Italian, go here instead of La Dolce Vitta), no complaints. The second time was on a Sunday and they were out of both the beer and the entree I wanted (what I ordered was good, however).

What a fun place! The menu is amazing and for dinner I had the Steak. It was so delicious. Went with a large group of friends and the staff was so wonderful. Can’t wait to go back again!

An excellent local bar/brewery/eatery. Their beer is fantastic and the food is amazing. Highly recommend. Chapel + Main does special dinner as well. The photos included were from the ‘Pork and Pinot’ dinner.

Whether you’ve had a great day and want to celebrate it, or the worst day of the year and need a little comfort, there’s something grounding about walking into a place that just gets you. A friend that knows the drink you’ll probably order. The special that feels like it has your name on it. A place that somehow attracts other friends—or future friends—you don’t mind sitting next to.
Chapel + Main is that friend.
A one-of-a-kind experience, owned and operated by people who, by the end of your visit, feel like old friends themselves. Fantastic food. Thoughtfully crafted cocktails. Their own micro-brewed beer on tap—and even in cans to take home. Like a good friend… you don’t want to leave behind.

From the street it looks unappealing… but don’t let that stop you. We loved this place ! Our waitress attentive, the host checked on us and the food was amazing! I appreciated the decor, it’s the ever popular industrial rustic look with mis matched chairs . I have a dairy intolerance (I will order differently next time) but I suffered as it was worth it ! I had the scallops risotto, my husband had the pork belly! We shared the tart at the end but oops cleared the plate before I got a pic !
