Food is delicious guy who took our order was kind and patient, but there’s no prices anywhere he said it’s because they fluctuate… But I don’t like that answer in any business customers want to see a menu with pricing and some I won’t go back there

Great little hidden gem! Service was quick and eating area was clean. The adobada and asada tacos were really good, but the pollo tacos were a little dry. Will definitely be back!

I know what you’re thinking, Mexican food at a gas station? This place is amazing though. Friendly service, and delicious food. I had the 4 tacos, 2 chicken, 2 steak. I liked the steak best, but both were good. Thank you for a great meal. I will definitely be back!

This place is the place to go for Mexican food in Mount Vernon, period. We have tried some of the other high-rated places, and nothing comes close to the quality. Second, the prices are incredible. I ordered the carne asada. The portions are generous, and the rice, beans, jalapeño, onions are off the hook. Go here, and have a place you will crave all the time.

This place was suggested by a few people and they did not disappoint. I had carne asada fries and my daughter had the asada tacos, both were very good and the salsas were very good also.

This is my 2nd time back in the last few months. Don’t let the gas station atmosphere fool u.
PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! I’m not sure if it’s new owners but DEFINITELY new cooks though! Prices were all raised but worth it for taste and portion size. Happily left $16 bucks that includes a small tip for this!

Queso, 😉
Let me just start off with saying, I don’t say this lightly and I very rarely give a bad review. I am all about if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say it at all. My first experience with this place was amazing. My husband and I had ordered some tamales. We came back a couple more times because they were so good and we discovered that they make amazing grilled jalapeños with crema sauce, we love grilled jalapeños and these were a special treat. They since stopped serving those.
The last few times we’ve come the food has actually made our stomach hurt. Just too greasy! The carne asada tacos taste like they used your average steak seasoning in the grocery store. Nothing impressive about them at all, and the tortillas were full of so much grease, that they were really mushy. We ordered the birria tacos; everywhere else you get broth for dipping and cheese, these come with neither, here we just got this greasy meat with a lot of gristle thrown on a greasy tortilla. We ordered the jalapeños that we love so much and they came back with not the crema sauce and when I asked today if they ever served it, she said no when I know specifically, that was what got me coming in there. Not sure if the place has a new cook or what the deal is, but it has definitely lost its flare and today’s experience was my absolute last straw, I will never go again.
They were not rude but they were not friendly either.
To bad.

If you want amazing street style Mexican, I highly recommend Tacos Tecalitlan in Burlington. They have only raised their prices to what seems fair for these crazy economy times and the food is freaking fantastic!! They are in Burlington.

I have been told a few times that they had great food so since I drove by daily I figured I would give it a try. I ordered the chicken tamales with beans and rice and they were AMAZING!!!
The guy I talked to and ordered from was very nice and a joy to chat with. The few things I would suggest is have a specific place to order and pay it is kinda awkward just standing in the middle of the Walk Way and maybe add tacos salad also they should add half a dozen or a dozen tamales you could order to take home. I will DEFINITELY be stopping by from now on and getting food.

The place was cute, however all the tables were dirty and the service wasn’t great, the waitress was nice but never checked in or looked in our direction after the order and food were taken care of. The food was pretty good, although for a gas station place, the prices were completely outrageous, and with four tables, I would expect it to be clean. I didn’t include this factor when rating the place, but the cashier of the gas station kept harassing and mocking me and the staff. Again, this didn’t effect my review, because I assume the guy doesn’t work at the restaurant, but I wanted to include it because it made my experience a whole lot worse.
