My sister, brother and I ate there on Oct 20 while in Florence for a mini family reunion. We three moved from Florence many years ago to FL and CO. We saw the ad for best fried chicken in our Airbnb and we were up for the challenge. Champy’s did not disappoint! We had the pleasure of having Sarah as our server and she was also 5-star! We loved the chicken and sides and ate every bit. My siblings got the banana pudding to go and said it was delicious. We had to each leave a dollar bill to document our great time at Champy’s! The inside and outside is eclectic and my kind of place. We liked the booths and had plenty of room. Can’t wait for a return to Sweet Home Alabama and Champy’s!

I like this place. The weather was perfect so we sat outside. The atmosphere is great, HOWEVER, those booth seats have got to go. It takes away from the charm and is just not cute. I saw one family that wanted to sit but was turned off. I’m definitely coming back. Oh…the fried catfish is real!! The portions were perfect for the price.

Great lil hometown chicken restaurant. Great service, laid back atmosphere, perfect sweet tea, and really good chicken fingers. Some of the best chicken fingers I’ve had. Loved the fries and the banana pudding was great!!!! Will return soon.

The restaurant is decorated with lots of vintage signs and retro sports memorabilia.
The decor is very nostalgic and offers feel good vibes.
There’s dining available inside and outside.
There’s a bar inside with several TVs for sports enthusiasts.
The fried chicken livers are my favorite! They’re crispy, delicious, and fried to perfection. The dinner comes with 2 sides and it’s way more than enough for one sitting.
The potatoes and gravy are really good. They also have some of the best Mac and Cheese I’ve ever had.
There’s lots of other stuff to enjoy from the menu as well.
Talented local bands and musicians play music most nights.
You can also order ahead and take advantage of the drive-thru window. You don’t even have to go inside!
It’s definitely worth a visit.
The prices are very reasonable and the service is always friendly and welcoming!

First time visit.ill start by saying i dont eat chicken but my son does!and this is one of his favorite restaurants and it was his birthday so this is how i ended up here.its a cool place inside and out!nice inside and outside seating nice vibe good music i would almost say a sports bar feeling but good family oriented.just not a good craft or local beer selection and bartender couldn’t make but one type of drink.of course my party love the chicken and tamales are pretty darn good!fried green tomatoes hit the spot i wouldn’t say the best I ever had but good.the sausage cheese plate was sub par!more pickles than cheese and the sausage was sliced thin and seem like it was fried! not sure but I eat it as I said I don’t eat chicken.not sure I would return for the food for myself..although nice place and service was great!again tamales was good and my party like the chicken and chicken was big portions.

Stopped in for a quick dinner. There was a blues band and they were good. We were passing through from Jeeping at Hawk Pride. The place had a nice neighborly bar vibe. Several people looked to be locals. The chicken was great and juicy. The banana pudding was absolutely delicious. I recommend stopping in for a bite and some entertainment.

I ordered takeout. 2 PC. Chicken dinner w/ 2 sides, chicken livers w/ 2 sides, an order of fried green tomatoes and a bag of pork skins.
I meant to take pictures. Please forgive me, but I was so hungry. I had already eaten half my dinner before I thought about it.

Smells like fried chicken as you enter the restaurant! Fun place, decorated with signs and colorful things to pass your time. Gift shop. Indoor and outdoor seating, chilly inside with the AC running on a hot summer day. Plastic utensils and little paper plates, but meals served in a plastic basket with paper towels on the table. Finger licking good chicken! Would recommend!

Great food and just vibes . They had the entire restaurant covered in dollar bills that customers have left for being there !! It was cool . A catfish platter recommend for sure!!! Thanks Champys of Muscle Shoals!!
