Champs Sports Bar & Grill

Our first time at Champs. It was a bit of of an abnormal visit so take my 4 stars for atmosphere with a grain of salt … I’d guess it hits 5 stars often. It was a bitter cold day! It was a Sunday afternoon and the first NFL championship game was on. I think there were only 4 customers when we walked in. We were three more. More people trickled in as the game went on. We sat at the bar … multiple TVs gave great views everywhere in the place. The bartender was awesome … friendly, nice, attentive! We ordered wings and onion rings and cheese curds. Wings were fab. Later we ordered a cheese burger and fries that was mundane. That burger pushed my food evaluation down to a 4/5. I liked the place and would be happy to hit it again. Plenty of room. Great service, great wings. Decent bathrooms.

Whoever this employee is needs to be held accountable. I’ve seen her be disrespectful to many customers, and on 8/24/25 she directed that same attitude toward me. She constantly seems angry, as if she hates her job and dealing with people. For someone working in a bar—where her paycheck depends on paying customers—her negativity really kills the vibe. On the other hand, Penny is awesome and always a good time.

Very disappointed. When we came for emo night, we were ignored for over half an hour. No one even came over to us.
Came back after emo night for food. Got order wrong TWICE and then found a hair in the food. When mentioned the first order was wrong and after we got the boneless wings, it was just kind of slammed down. No apology for the wait and it being wrong. Wasn’t busy when our food was ordered….. just not good costumer service

Met up with some family here for a few hours that I haven’t seen in 35 years or so. Had a few brews and some food. The item that I had wanted was no longer available so I made up my own sampler basket with onion rings, mozzarella sticks and of course cheese curds. Great time, great food, great brews and great family.

We went here in the middle of the afternoon. Pam was the BEST bartender I’ve ever had – and in Wisconsin, that’s saying something! Not only on top of everything and attentive, but such great conversations too. It makes us want to come back again and again. She deserves the biggest raise and recognition! A true asset to the team.

As of right now I’m sitting at the bar. Let’s start from beginning. Came in and kinda just felt like an intruder. Ordered half order wings. Steak sandwich with French fries. Order came out with chips and no fries. Asked about it and the bar tender said it comes with chips. Like I’m an idiot and didn’t know what I ordered. Never came and checked on me until I was done…….ps I’m still waiting on the check and I’ve been done for about 10 min. Food is ehh. Take it or leave it. But the real draw back is the bartender. Just rude and unprofessional. Should of went to 902 on the Avenue. Don’t recommend at all. ………..she sure was nice bringing back that check when it’s tips time…….

Food sucks when the managers daughter makes it, steak sandwich was burnt and that’s every single time I come and she’s cooking. ALSO, owners don’t reply when you try to reach out to them about any issues. On the positive note most staff is very friendly and does there job well. Just bad management and a select few bad cooks. They also somtimes close there kitchen 40 mins or more earlier then advertised, at least to me and my friends from the manager durectly, I also tried to reach out to the owners with no response.
