A surprising gem! I’ve had to stay at the hotel a few times as a result of flight issues and love dining at Champions. The staff are so friendly and provide top notch service. The food is also a highlight, not at all what we expected from an airport hotel. This team clearly takes great care in providing an excellent experience. Love this place.

Walked across the street from Springhill Suites. Once order was taken, it took a bit longer than we expected for our order to be delivered. We sat in front of a TV, so we had a distraction. I would say it took about 10-12 minutes wait for our order.
Ribs, hamburger with fries were delicious. The ribs were half-slab (not listed on menu).
Shout out to Thomas, our waiter. Very attentive.

We eat here every year when we fly home from Atlanta at the holidays. The food is always great. Salmon salad, steak and potato salad, quesadillas, and burgers are phenomenal. Today Leslie took care of us and she was one of the best servers anywhere. Also, the cooks who made the salmon with special orders were terrific. Thank you so much.

Not a bad place for a quesadilla and beer. We were seated right away but the service was a little slow. The appetizer wasn’t bad. The restaurant was pretty busy but it wasn’t very loud so we could talk easily to each other.

This was our second visit to Champions, and unfortunately it was nowhere near as good as our first.
We were there on Friday, 2/6/2026, with a party of 12. The staff was below average and not particularly friendly, and while service timing wasn’t terrible, the food quality and restaurant policies were disappointing.
I ordered a ribeye steak, medium-well. It came out closer to medium, which wouldn’t normally bother me, but the bigger issue was the amount of gristle. It was excessive and completely unacceptable for a steak at this price point. The baked potato was undercooked and partially hard, and the mixed vegetables were greasy, unappetizing, and lacked flavor.
My wife ordered a burger, which was severely overcooked to the point she couldn’t eat it. The French fries were good, but that was the only redeeming part of her meal. My daughter ordered the lemon herb chicken. She refused to eat it, and after trying some myself, I understood why. I ended up trading her part of my steak so she could at least eat something.
A friend sitting across from me also ordered a steak and had the same poor-quality experience that I did.
Another frustration was the billing policy. With a table of 12, we were told the check could only be split three ways. Even after asking up front if my wife, daughter, and I could all be on the same ticket, the policy still forced us into an awkward split. Because of this, I personally ended up giving a friend $150 for a meal that was not worth the cost.
I honestly would not pay $5 for the steaks we received. The bourbon and Coke I had with dinner was the highlight of the evening.
Based on this experience, the next time we visit Atlanta, Champions inside the Marriott Gateway Atlanta will be a hard pass

Order food delivery while staying in the hotel. I was surprised how hot the temperature when received the chicken and shrimp fettuccine. The chicken wings were tasty. Unfortunately, no sauce was included.
Other than that, I was pretty please with the taste of the food and how prompt I received the order.

We stayed at the Marriott Gateway and we had a couple of restaurant choices with walking distance. We picked Champions based on a good variety of food. We had the shrimp quesadillas, lemon herb chicken, and blackened salmon. Our waiter was very diligent in following up with the chef on my dietary requirements. He was very pleasant and had a great smile. We greatly enjoyed the food and its atmosphere. By the time we left, the restaurant section was almost full. We really liked our experience at Champions!

Small menu. Good food. Served in plastic with plastic utensils. I guess it’s easier for them. Seems to be a tad not environmentally friendly. Not horribly priced considering not much else around if your carless. Friendly staff.
2nd visit. Still a smaller menu. At first prices seemed high and probably are but portion sizes are not bad. I would definitely recommend this location. Not to many options in this area especially if you are carless.
3rd visit. Menu seems to be improving. All food is fresh and tasty. Good serving sizes. Friendly service

Pretty nice place. Not much else to eat around the hotel, so this is it. Food was decent. Waiter was friendly. A little overpriced for what the food is, but still a decent meal. They close in the middle of the afternoon, so be aware of that.

I made 5 guests total upon arrival and it took 15min to get first beer, I first ordered an Ultra only to wait 5 more minute to find they were out of ultra and was offered a miller light instead? I finally settled on a blue moon draft only to watch it set by the tap for 5min after pouring while the bartender was making drinks for people who arrived at the bar 15min after me. I went to the bar and ask nicely if that was my beer and if I could take it before it went flat and warmed, but the bartender continued making other guest drinks and said he would bring it to me shortly, while a server did the right thing and slid me the beer. The bartender took the time to ask if I wanted and orange wedge in the beer, but this is typically traditional for a blue moon. Shockingly the orange wedge had a spot of mold on it upon receipt of the drink. I finally was able to order food after 20min of waiting and made 2 seemingly simple requests, well done fries and a medium cooked burger. After another 15 min the food was delivered. The fries were a few degrees above room temp and barely cooked, while the burger was very well done, both contrary to my simple requests. The tomato and onions on the burger were mush, apparently soaking in a food prep container for several days. This place was a total disaster and can not recommend it to anyone.
