This was one of the most unique places I have ever been, and prolly a one of a kind place that I will rarely ever be to again. Not for any bad reason at all- simply because I am not from Chicago and where I am from they do not have ANYTHING like this out of this world experience! We had a table of 2, parked in the back (free) and it was easy to find a spot that way. Up front was valet parking and those were mostly very upscale cars: BMW, Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz, etc were parked up here. Gave a very upscale energy to the establishment from the start without walking in. There was people who opened the doors and greeted you and checked us in. 10 minute wait, no problem. The place was packed, and 10 minutes didn’t seem bad, quite like a miracle actually. Once seated, the main room was massive, large round tables where each party sits and the center has a salad bar where people can enjoy and get their own salad and toppings. After being sat you are bombarded by kindness and have servers who pull your chair out, those that set your table up, another that explains and opens the wine menu for you and explains how the meat section works- and this is neat. You’re given a redgreen card. They employees walk around with SO MANY KINDS IF MEAT. Lamb, top sirloin, ribs, chicken, steak, garlic seared…I mean so many kinds and you can have it cook from well done to rare, just ask. And they cut it off the skewer right there at your table to your plate. And the meat keeps coming till you flip your card to RED. Just keeps coming. The sides are included. It fills the table. Then dipping sauce for the meats, one for the chicken, one for the lamb, one for the beef.
The meat is DEVINE. It is all delicious. The sides are so good and the desserts are delectable.
It is wild to see so many people running around with steaming hot meat cutting it and running around again but so yummy.
The only downside is here online is there is a pricing discrepancy – it shows online its like 57$ something per person (minus drinks). We didnt get any alcohol. I got Snapple tea, and he got got soda. We *thought* we heard him say water was free. The per person price was over 75$ person for just the meal portion(sans drinks options) and the water was 9$
All and all, it was just under 200$ for 2 people after a tip. Yes, it was TOTALLY worth it, just I think they need to update their site prices because that’s what we saw before we walked in, their prices aren’t on any menu anywhere otherwise
Other then that, 10010 stars! It was amazing food, atmosphere, service, environment, cleanliness, and everyone was so friendly. One of a kind experience!

The place was crowded on Sunday, which likely caused the delays, but the team should have been better prepared for that level of traffic. Service felt disorganized—orders were served randomly, and our table was skipped multiple times. I raised this with the staff, but nothing changed.
The food was good. The service, however, was below acceptable standards. The atmosphere was acceptable.
I might revisit, but only hoping the experience improves next time.

Brazilian steakhouse experiences are always special and no one around the Chicago area does it better than Chama.
They have extremely attentive service and enough staff to keep you well fed throughout. Great for special occasions and celebrations.
Although their meat selection options seems to have gone down hopefully they can get a variety again

First time dining experience here by luck, and everything was EXTRAORDINARY !!
The food was excellent, but the service was the highlight of our night. Everyone was so attentive, kind, and lovely. From someone that works in the service industry I couldn’t thank the staff enough for their service. Luis, Sonny, and Jennifer were fantastic. We already made our next reservation and can’t wait to go back. Thank you!

This is by far a better experience than Fago. They hold and push the seat in for you, very attentive and thorough. The restaurant is very clean. One of the few places you don’t mind tipping a little extra.

Food was amazing, while in busy hours the service remains great. Some seating may recieve meat cuts less often than others, the servers jabdle that well by asking for amy request hence the great service. Atmosphere gives it an elegant and casual feeling

So I do not mean the staff bringing to meat to the tables, I am talking about the 5 different waiters/waitresses that kept checking on me and my wife while we were eating. We would start talking, and the moment we took a second to stop eating and just talk, a one of them would come up and ask if everything was ok and if we needed anything. There were even times that they did this while we were eating food, and just trying to enjoy the great meats and sides we had in front of us.
I do not think this is horrible, I would only ask that the staff give a little more time, and a specific waiter/waitress or two for an area, rather than 5 different ones coming to my table between the meat servers.

We come every year to celebrate my son’s birthday & his last day of school. We consistently have had Jorge as our server & let me just say he is incredible. This place always goes above & beyond for us & I truly appreciate the customer service. Food is always fresh & delicious. We love coming here for our special occasions.

We’ve been to Chama Gaúcha many times over the years and usually come back because the service is excellent — which is why today’s experience was so disappointing, especially since we were there to celebrate my birthday.
When we were seated, no waiter or waitress came by to introduce themselves. After waiting quite a while, we had to flag down a manager just to order drinks. We ordered a bottle of wine and water, but even that took longer than expected. The sauces for the meats were also very delayed, and when we ordered french fries for our child, they never came because the order was never put into the kitchen. This became especially frustrating since we had an increasingly impatient toddler waiting on their food.
What made the situation worse was that we could clearly see all the tables around us being regularly served, checked on, and attended to — while our table was the only one being consistently overlooked. It genuinely felt like we were forgotten.
Eventually, a waiter did come by toward the end of the meal, but by then the experience was already soured and we were honestly just over it.
The food itself was still good, and we know this restaurant is capable of great service — we’ve experienced it many times before — but today was a miss across the board. For a place at this price point, especially for a special occasion and with a young child at the table, service really matters. I hope this was just an off day, because we truly want to keep this as one of our go-to spots but may have to change Fogo de Chao or Texas de Brazil.

Great services and goooood price and cleanliness and I eat here before and not got time to write reviews yet !!!and most of all goood foods and salad bar great !! I like root beer it like a coke you known but the waitress told me no root beer and I like oh man lol !!!
