Took my family there for lunch. Food was average at best. The waitress there was not friendly and smelled of cigarettes. She seemed nice to the older people who may have been regulars, however, us and another table(mother and 2 younger children) she did not want to be bothered with us. Will not be going back.

Longtime family run tradition in Mountaintop! Home style cooking, traditional American fare and specials. Dated interior but very clean. Friendly staff. Great parking and convenient location. It will be going the way of the dinosaurs in the not too distant future so visit now while still in existence.

Came here today while ending our trip to PA and had lunch. The coffee was good and we got prompt refills which is always a great sign. I had a wonderful Reuben and fries. My SO had a pretty slammin turkey club as well. For lunch our food was great so I can imagine breakfast and dinner would also pass the bar. Very good, would return.

If you can’t be home..eat at the Chalet. Haddock is the best ever. Place is spotless. Service is always excellent. Food is served fresh and hot. I love it there. Hardest thing is deciding what to order.

A fixture restaurant in Mountaintop. Great for breakfast, lunch, and early dinners. Closing time is 7:30pm, so plan to go earlier. The menu has lots of choices – sandwiches, burgers, full meals, and even a senior menu (smaller portions – welcome by some customers). There’s also desserts and I noticed a small wine and beer list, so there are many choices for customers here. One important thing to know if you go: they do not accept credit cards!!! (This is why I couldn’t give that 5th star.) This is rather inconvenient and something they should change. Make sure you are prepared with cash, as you can’t expect to pay with a credit card.

Good food for the price. Most of the staff is ok except the early morning shift during week crabby servers. But Nancy is the best. Good atmosphere too. Will go again later in day of course!

Very expensive but none of the waitresses smelled like smoke for the times I have been there. Everyone is pleasant but not too friendly if you know what I mean. They let you actually eat your meal in peace they only bother you if you need a refill. Expensive but a cute place to go.

Fast friendly service. I enjoyed a ham and cheese omelet, it had thinly sliced ham, I believe the ham is ham off the bone, it is piled on and covered the whole omelet which is huge. They serve Raisin bread. Bring cash.
