We thoroughly enjoyed our Wednesday evening dinner. The snow scooter picked us up at the meeting point at the bottom of the Castor & Pollux slope, and after a lovely ride we were warmly welcomed at the chalet. The atmosphere was cosy, with live music adding a special touch. We really liked the three-course dinner and the friendly, attentive waitress. After dinner, the snow scooter took us back down to the valley. We had a wonderful evening and would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

What an experience to travel on snow combers at night to the top of the highest points in Val Thorens, to reach a restaurant you can’t have access to with a car or by foot. Excellent chalet at the top of the hill 2500 metres above sea level with a beautiful view of Val Thorens village from top.
Pre ordered menu was excellent to pick from and food was outstanding at that height. Loved every minute there with a live singing and cosy atmosphere while it was snowing outside. Must do experience to go to this restaurant on giant snow mobile and have food. We went in heavy snowing and it was excellent or else you can go even on a clear night to see clear stars from above there. Must visit place for romantic or celebratory events. Food menu cost is different and they charge for transportation separately.

We (family of 4) ate here new year’s day for lunch. The maitre’d was very friendly and helpful. The kids ate the chicken nuggets which were much better than a standard chicken nugget! We had the snails, cheese & ham and then for mains the sirloin and chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms. All were delicious although the cheese/ham starter was far too large for us to finish. For dessert we had the tarte pomme and chocolate praline tart. Probably the best tarte pomme I’ve eaten. Service was super friendly throughout. Thanks again for a great meal.

The burger was delicious, but only a small portion of soft small fries on the side. I was not full after spending €36 euros on the food, plus €12 euro for a pint of white beer.

Between 24 and 30 of January, 2026, I visited this establishment a few times. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was nice. The showpiece for this restaurant though, was the service, smiling and accommodating staff made me come back for more!

You can’t beat the ideally south-facing terrasse of Chalet des Deux Lacs, you simply can’t!
Excellent food, fast and friendly service and positively gargantuan portions.
The slow cooked pork chop is particularly recommended.

We stopped with our friends, and had a bad experience in this café at the foot of the slopes in Val Thorens.
Although we ate well and had been drinking in the place, the manager did not allow us to stay, not even to eat our own sandwich or even to drink a bottle of water. From the first moment she spoke to us in very bad terms and aggressively kicked us out.
When we told her that we were leaving but that we did not think the treatment was fair, the situation got even worse: she completely lost her papers, took a friend’s ski helmet without permission and threw it down a slope, while continuing to insult us.
When we thought we had already experienced the worst, and while we were leaving, the same lady took a friend’s sandwich (which was hers, brought from home), broke it and threw it on the floor, showing absolute contempt and an intolerable lack of respect.
Such an attitude is totally outrageous. I do not recommend this establishment to anyone, both for the lack of professionalism and the offensive and aggressive treatment we received.

Best place we had food so far in Val Thoréns. Nice staff served us quite fast. Good local food. A bit pricey as there is in the valley. They serve both inside and outside. Salads and burgers for us but they also had traditional savoie food. WC inside. Short run to the city. Sunny.
