We had the tasting set, and it was truly a full teppanyaki-style food experience. The chef cooked everything right in front of us, turning the meal into a real show.
There was singing, dancing, and guests were even included in the performance, which made the night feel fun, interactive, and unforgettable. It’s not just about eating here, it’s about being part of the experience. ️

This restaurant is special;

Firstly manager Bobbi(y) accommodated 22 (2 more than booking) with ease and without worry, down in the large group at the biggest teppanyaki table.

Secondly, our chef Sam was most entertaining, with us being his 5th seating that night, bobbi and the team made us feel us like the first and only seating that night which made it special. The energy and atmosphere was unmatched from the minute we sat down.

Food was delicious and drinks were attentively served / filled up.

We each got the tasting menus, chicken, prawn, steak, etc. with egg fried rice and miso soup to start. Additions – prawn crackers with dipping sauces.

Thirdly, at the end of our meal, not expecting any more legendary hospitality, Bobbi brought their house guitarist through to play 1 sound for us, however, through our excitement, he played 4 songs which topped every other group dinner we’d ever attended.

It was simply, a wholesome, fulfilling and fun evening, hosted by some of the best managers and chefs if ever encountered ( having worked in the industry myself)

Thank you to Bobbi(y), Sam and the entire team for an unforgettable evening.

I highly, HIGHLY, recommend this restaurant for every group size, party and occasion. One of the best in Dublin.

Staff super friendly and welcoming. Chef Sam’s food amazing. Waiter called Zap will heat up the atmosphere by singing a couple of songs at the end of your meal. This is my first time but very positive experience. See you again very soon.

Attended for a work Christmas lunch and had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely delicious, cooked in front of us. Lots of interaction from the chef and a singsong at the end. The restaurant opened early to accommodate us which was really appreciated by us country folk having to travel a distance! Will definitely be back and would highly recommend, especially for groups. Staff were so attentive and friendly.

As part of a work night out, I visited Chai-Yo last night, and I have to say — it truly lives up to its claim of being Dublin’s most entertaining dining experience. It was a magical evening from start to finish.

The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was electric. The wait staff were some of the best I’ve ever encountered — attentive, friendly, and full of personality.

We opted for the Teppanyaki experience, and the chef was nothing short of incredible. His showmanship and flair turned the meal into a truly surreal event. The staff even serenade diners with guitar and song, adding an unforgettable touch.

Most of us went for the tasting menu, and every dish was delicious, prepared with only the highest-quality ingredients. My starter included prawn crackers, miso soup, Wagyu kushiyaki, and seasonal potatoes and vegetables.
For the main course, I had duck, beef, and chicken, and I finished with a chocolate ice cream cake.

Thank you to Chai-Yo for a fantastic night and great memories.

To summarise my review All I can say is — GO HERE.

You won’t regret it.

Love this place! Have been multiple times and it’s always a great evening with lovely food and brilliant entertainment at the tepanyaki. Lots of options for different dietary requirements and the atmosphere is amazing. Very attentive staff. Was there last night as a group of 17. When we were settling the bill, the manager Kevin very kindly notified us that we overpaid as we hadn’t deducted our deposit, so they’re very honest! Which was hugely appreciated. Great evening, highly recommend!

Went here on Sunday night for part of my mates stag weekend. Had the absolute time of our lives, from the chef and the show he put on to the rest of the staff that serenaded us after; it was just brilliant. Highly recommend the teppanyaki if you want some entertainment and a sing song afterwards! We even met the staff later at a bar for a dance which was such a laugh too. Thank you to all the staff, I’ll attach some pics.
