Such a great experience with friendly people like Terri and Chad who make you feel welcomed the moment you walk into the door. The food was delicious and plentiful. We got takeout from here for a picnic and ordered the Carolina BBQ sandwich, the regular BBQ and a kids pizza. The Carolina was tangy as anticipated and the classic which is what I go for was spot on. My kid enjoyed the mini pizza. We will definitely try again.

Amazing service. The woman working asked my name and then knew by name the rest of my visit. Seemed to know everyone that came in. Very personable. Great environment and delicious food. Got the pastrami rachel and sweet potato fries.

Some of the best MD BBQ!
First off, the staff was so sweet! They came up to the table multiple times and asked if we needed anything.
The food was great, BBQ is a competitive business. But all dishes (the wings especially) we’re delicious. The ribs were slightly tough but still came off the bone pretty easy. The brisket was tasty and tender as well! Loved the mac and cheese and baked beans too.
The restaurant is spacious with outdoor seating as well.
Only feedback to the restaurant: Ditch the white plates, bring all types of dishes and food on trays!

Great food, big portions. We had the chopped brisket, a good sweet smokey sauce, corn bread, collard greens. Plus a BLT on thick white toast with tons of bacon, fresh tomato and lettuce. Cute dining room. Very Maryland-y.

Before heading to Terrapin State Park we stopped here for lunch, mainly because they have a pet friendly patio. I ordered the wings and hubby got the Cheesesteak they was on their specials menu and we shared an order of fried pickles. Everything was absolutely delicious and I live that they have Maine Handcrafted sodas on their fountain. The wings were really large, meaty & juicy and the bbq buffalo was the perfect amount of heat. Hubby’s cheesesteak was huge, he had to save half for later and the fried pickles were yummy as well, very tasty dipping sauce. The staff here is very friendly, as we were enjoying our meal they even brought out a bowl of cold water for our golden retriever. In addition to their posted menu they usually have lots of specials listed on a chalkboard at the front door and they even have a full bar, trust and believe that we’ll be back.

Small place , very welcoming. Nice staff. We had never been and was a spur of the moment stop. Babyback Ribs were large but very fatty. Pulled pork seemed overcooked and mushy. Fries are just average for any bbq joint. Choice of Carolina or house sauce. Honey jalapeño wings were only warm , not hot so thinking these were not made to order ? Average wings regardless. Only had the house and was ok. Had higher hopes from the reviews

This is our fourth and last time coming here.
We have done carryout the last few times and what I noticed is that when I hit no tip or when I don’t add a tip on the receipt I get a stale look from the female working there. I don’t tip for Carryout. Yes I’m spending a lot of money but I feel that for Carryout All you’re doing is packing my food you’re not bringing it to me I’m coming to the counter and getting it and carrying it out myself. I shouldn’t be guilted or get bad service or stale looks for not tipping in Carryout. (We tipped quite well our first time we dined in. We don’t mind tipping for sit down service or if they do something out of the way)
This last time was the worst we ordered $85 worth of food.
We ordered a pulled pork sandwich they’re supposed to give you coleslaw. The container was half full.
We ordered sweet potato fries. It was half full.
I asked for barbecue on the side of our ribs the family meal we got no barbecue sauce at all and we asked for bread pudding because we thought it said bread pudding, and we told the young guy we wanted ice cream with our bread pudding and he was like yeah we don’t serve ice cream with the bread pudding and we get home to see banana pudding. So maybe it was a mistake with communication and he wasn’t paying attention to us saying bread pudding so many times , but after today our gut is just telling us we don’t need to come back here. This business is not for us.
The Ribs are absolutely delicious I would have rather eaten them with BBQ sauce. The corn bread is huge and loafy and dense. You gotta load with with butter to eat it without choking. The chicken is also good as well as the pulled pork sandwich, just disappointed we didn’t get much Cole slaw.
My review is on my experience the BBQ is why we came so many times. The greens are also good, Mac and cheese seems old it’s hard. Refer to the pictures. I called to complain and told them the guy made us wait a few extra minutes cause he was making sure everything was in the bag. Should have trusted my gut and looked myself. The guy told us come back he would give us extra sauce but it’s pouring rain and I’m not driving an hour to and from for sauce.

Nice place with a fun atmosphere. Dined inside for an early dinner. Not a big place so plan your visit. Some outside covered seating. Service was excellent. Terri is super nice and has been their about 15 yrs. I think she know everyone. Entire place was super clean.
Food was very good and filling . Lots of sandwich options and lots of sides. Smoked wings are the best!
