They have nice lunch specials available. Drunken noodles and red curry were our choices. Both dishes were excellent. We arrived a little before 1 pm and done by 1:30. Staff was super friendly, food came out quickly. A good choice for a spur of the moment lunch!

Chadar Thai is absolutely fantastic! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I ordered the Thai iced coffee, and it was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced—just the right amount of sweetness with that bold coffee kick.

We have tried several Thai restaurants in the area and across the country. I would say this place is our go-to place in the area. The owner has managed this for a long time and kept the food quality consistent. Their prices are reasonable as well due to the fact they are in an ok market plaza vs being in downtown richmond or short pump mall. They can adjust the spices (between mild and medium for instance), give steamed tofu instead of fried, that we like, and the taste is great. We typically do not do curries and have done the rice and brown sauce based dishes. E12 tends to be very flavorful with a great sauce although there are other good dishes too like Chicken cashew nut (or without the chicken for Vegetarians with tofu). Service is alright. Not bad but nothing fancy. The setting is decent but not mind blowing. We come here truly for the food. We have done take out as well through door dash several times. I would recommend trying it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Chadar Thai. My favorite dish was the Tom Yum Soup– bright lemongrass flavor and nice spice! You can specify spice level on almost all dishes, as well as include whatever meats or tofu and veggies you want. Dumplings and curries were great too! We were able to place our order on my phone at the table and the waiter still made sure to check on us several times and refill our drinks — seamless, pleasant experience. I especially loved that there are pictures of everything on the digital menu.
The restaurant is located behind another block of buildings off Broad Street, making it hard to see from the road. That said, there’s plenty of parking and it’s very easy to access. Lots of folks were ordering to go and picking up while we were there, which suggests that’s an easy process too.
Looking forward to returning to this hidden gem of a Thai restaurant!

Best Thai food I’ve had in Richmond that is both delicious and authentic. The atmosphere was so inviting and homey. This is my favorite Thai place by far. Highly recommend the pandan and Thai tea ice cream!!

This place is extremely underrated. I always order the Pad See Ew with thin noodles, the consistency/flavor of the egg and noodles combined with the spices is delicious. We also get the noodle soup with chicken, the broth is clear and is so flavorful and savory. Portion sizes are great too. My favorite Thai place in Richmond hands down.

If you’re looking for delicious Thai food- look no further! These dishes were full of flavor. I got the Curry Noodle with Tofu (Level 3 Spicy) and my sister got the Pad Woonsen with Tofu (Level 3 Spicy). The Pad Woonsen came with a side of rice too which is great with that extra spice.
I also ordered Crab Rangoon for the table. Do not skimp on these. GET THEM. Thank you Chadar!!

I always come here all the time. This is a very affordable place for good portion size and delicious food. I highly recommend their pad see ew and drunken noodles and mango sticky rice. These are my two staples every time I come.
The atmosphere is quiet and very nice. Their service is pretty good too. It’s family owned and good comes out pretty quickly every time. One of my favorite go to spots in Richmond for sure.

One of the best chicken panang curries I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of chicken panang curries.
Mild still has a bit of heat.
I do wish they included a little more rice to go with

It was just ok. It seemed heavily portion controlled. I spent $30 on lunch trying three things I never had before and it was just ok. Mango sticky rice was underwhelming. Tom yum soup is meh…shrimp whatever I had in photo looks like the shrimp were counted…just meh.
