Just tried the chicken slider here and I’m honestly impressed! The flavors immediately transported me back to home-cooked Indian meals – that authentic, comforting taste you don’t always find at restaurants.
What really stood out was how the spices were perfectly balanced, giving that familiar homely warmth without being overwhelming. And can we talk about those buns? Incredibly soft and clearly fresh – none of that stale, dense texture you sometimes get. They complemented the filling beautifully without falling apart.
If you’re craving something that feels both familiar and satisfying, this is definitely worth ordering. It’s like getting a hug from home in slider form.

The best Indian Street food I have ever had in my life! The pani puri and the chutneys they use are all homemade and made of organic ingredients. Even the yogurt is made at home and is so creamy and delicious! I had their pani puri, Dahi Puri, paneer wrap and mango lassi. Everything is top tier. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try authentic Indian street food to check ‘Chaat Mahal’ out

Chaat Mahal in Charlotte is the one-stop shop to satisfy your desi street food cravings. The food truck location is quite conspicuous(right next to the UPS store), and they’re open in the evenings from Thursdays to Sundays.
The menu runs the gamut from Dahi Puri to Pani Puri to Paneer and Chicken Wraps. The chaats are flavorful, and each bite is a burst of flavor in your mouth. The wraps were decent as well, albeit a bit oily. The yogurt that they served with the chaats smelled a bit stale, so we had to trash that.
Service was prompt and polite. There’s sufficient parking where the truck is. I might be back here to try their other menu items. Overall, it’s a decent desi food truck.

I tried the dahi puri at Chat Mahal, and it was good and refreshing. The flavors were well balanced, and the curd was fresh, which made the chaat enjoyable. However, I felt the puris could have had a bit more filling to make it more satisfying.
Overall, the experience was good, and it’s a nice place to stop by if you’re craving something light and refreshing.

One of the best street food trucks I’ve ever been to in the U.S.! I had the paneer wrap and pani puri, both were super tasty and felt just like the food I’ve had back home. The flavors were spot on and everything was fresh.
The setup was really nice and clean, and the owners were so friendly and welcoming. You can tell they really care about what they’re doing and want people to enjoy the food.
What I really loved is that the whole menu is vegetarian, which is hard to find these days, especially for street food. As someone who eats only veg, this was a big plus for me.
Overall, I had a great experience. Tasty food, warm people, and good vibes. I’ll definitely be going back again!

This is by far the best pani puri I’ve had in Clt. At first, I only ordered one plate since it was only $3 for 5 pieces, I honestly thought the taste might just be average. But the first bite completely changed my mind- the taste was so authentic, just like the pani puri you’d get on the streets of India- I ended up ordering another plate right away. I’ll definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu.

I had the pleasure of eating at the food truck during the CLTure festival. I enjoyed the paneer slider so much so I thought about it after I placed my car in geer upon exiting. So I cut my car off and went back to the truck which had begun their clean up process but still took the time to prepare one last paneer slider for me. Thanks for your service and delicious food.

Just ate at Chaat Mahal and the food was delicious! We ordered dahi puri and the paneer wrap. The food came out quickly and the customer service was great…they were very sweet and humble ladies, and they were genuinely excited for us to try their food. I ate the dahi puri too fast to take a pic, but I’ve attached a pic of the wrap and a side of tamarind. Will definitely come back!

Had the paneer wrap at Chaat Mahal, solid stuff. Packed with flavor, great spice, and hits the spot. No frills, just damn good street food. I’ll be back for more.
