Lovely food. Had a chance to have lunch and dinner at the restaurant, and the experience was top notch. Serves relatively small quantities of food but items are priced accordingly. Indian flavours are spot on. Tried their Biryani, Chicken tikka, mughlai tikka and Gulaab jamun all were too good, definitely worth trying when you visit.

Great quality, lovely service, and yummy lassi.
Samosas were crispy and the sauce was a great balance. Loved the cardamom in the Rogan Josh – the lamb was super tender. Loved the naan to pair with it.
And the TANDOORI WINGS OMG.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

We had a nice dinner overall. The food was tasty, but the portions were quite small. We were two people and ended up ordering three portions of rice and four main dishes — it sounds like a lot, but it really wasn’t.
The lamb biryani was average, as the lamb was overcooked and a bit tough. On the other hand, the butter chicken was excellent, followed by the chicken masala and the garlic cherry chicken, both of which were very flavorful. The prawn curry, however, was just average.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. However, the cutlery wasn’t very clean, which took away from the overall experience.

We headed into Chaakoo for some lunch yesterday and were very impressed. After frequently ordering Chaakoo through delivery, we decided to go and sit in as we always enjoy the food so much. Everything we had was amazing. Two of us opted for the lunch deal which is amazing value for money and is also so much food! Claire and her team were amazing, we couldn’t recommend it enough!

While exploring the streets of Glasgow, we came across this place and fell in love the moment we stepped in. The food, ambiance, and hospitality were top-notch. I’m from Canada and visited with my wife from Ireland, and we would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Cheers

The atmosphere is bustling street food cafe with quirky signage and a large bar. Food is tapas style so multiple are meant to be ordered but I had 1 dish, 1 naan and 1 rice and was absolutely stuffed and couldn’t finish it all. The saag paneer was delicious and the peshwari naan soft, fluffy and sweet. Have been here a few times before and would go again. Staff were super attentive.

Been to Chaakoo a few times now and the food never disappoints! Every single dish we have tried we have loved. The curries are so authentic and full of rich flavour. Would highly recommend the lamb madras the tender meat in the spicy sauce is a winner. The vegetarian lentil based curries are also top of the list to have, so much flavour packed into the dhal. The pakora still has the Scottish swing to it, crispy and delicious. The interior is very cool to sit and enjoy a meal in and the atmosphere is always great to enjoy with a large group of friends to share curries with!

Went to Chaakoo for dinner and it was lovely! All of the waitresses were really friendly and we got some free veg pakora! Lovely atmosphere, quick service and delicious food 😀 We (two people) had two curries, two veg pakora, rice and a naan to share and it was plenty. Very delicious and filling!
Spent ~£45 (including tip) so very good value for money! I will absolutely come back here in the future.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a pleasant experience overall. While the portion sizes were on the smaller side, the quality of the food was excellent. Every dish was well-prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. The ambiance was cozy, and the service was courteous and prompt. If you’re someone who prioritizes taste over quantity, this place is definitely worth a visit. However, if you’re expecting generous portions, you might find it a bit lacking. Still, for the quality of food and the overall experience, I would recommend giving it a try!

Recommended by a colleague from Glasgow and we were not disappointed. Love the decor and relaxed vibe. Service was welcoming, gave great advice and friendly. The food was absolutely superb. Each dish very authentic, very different, and cooked to perfection. Monk fish melted in the mouth, Saag paneer tastes like velvet, Masala paneer was rich and creamy, naans were so fresh and light, I’ve never tasted a peshwari naan like it with toasted almonds and honey sweet taste. Pakora were fresh, warm and crisp and the mint dip that was served with pompodoms was so fresh and zingy. Honestly if I lived local this would be my go to place. I’ll be back to eat here as soon as I can come back. Congratulations to the chefs.
