The quality of food here has gone down significantly recently. It had been months since I ordered out due to my last order being terrible. Finally decided to give it another chance and was given a burnt, hard pizza and dry stale fries.

This place was recommended to us by another business and they were so right! The food was great, the service was friendly and $1 draft PBRs. The 50′ bar is fantastic!

Cool late 1800’s bar/restaurant. Awesome selection of food. Great use of tablets for menus to show off their visually appealing food.

Lucky people who live nearby & get to visit often. Heard many great things lately and finally had to give it a try. No wait on a Friday at 8. Large craft beer selection and large full bar. Huge menu and unique options. Burger was amazing. Also tried a smothered grilled tenderloin cheese curds and a side salad. Will be back!

$1 Pabst Blue Ribbon On Draft and a Cheeseburger:
A Road Trip to Kewanee, Illinois
During my recent stay in Morton, IL, I took a 50-mile trip North to Kewanee for lunch and discovered a gem: a bar that’s been serving since 1898, with $1 Pabst Blue Ribbon drafts and delicious burgers.
Kewanee, a quaint town with a population of about 12,500, is known for its agricultural roots and baseball history. It was also home to the Kewanee Boiler Corporation for over a century.
Cerno’s Bar & Grill, in downtown, is a must-visit. One of the oldest bars in Central Illinois, it features an epic 50-foot mahogany bar imported from Belgium by the Pabst Brewing Company after the Chicago World’s Fair. The bar with hand-carved figurines made of wood and original brass fixtures, and the ambiance takes you straight back to the early 1900s.
Though not a “tied-house”, Cerno’s proudly serves $1 PBR drafts all day, every day. The menu is impressive, with daily and weekly specials. I enjoyed the PBR Burger—a deep-fried creation with pepper jack cheese and Sriracha cream sauce, served with crispy fries.
Everything from the food to the service was exceptional. I can’t wait to return for another round of that ice-cold $1 PBR on draft and more delicious food.
If you find yourself in Central Illinois, make sure to stop by Cerno’s Bar & Grill.

We arrived at 1:15 p.m. for lunch and left at 3:15 p.m. The noon crowd was just ending. The food is good. The wife had chicken strips, tots and fries. They were out of 2 other sides she would have liked more. The veggies for the day were mushrooms with summer squash and zucchini on the flat top. She would have picked a veggie, but not that. The chicken strips were very good and so were the fries and tots. They were out of potatoes and cottage cheese which would have been her normal. I had steak philly with no onion. It had a great amount of peppers and very tender meat with cheese and bread, I also had fries. Overall very good food, just wait time of 90 minutes was way to long for our meal. One thing that is a big deal is the water is just awful. It would be better to drink beer or a mix drink. If you drink the water not even lemon will save how fowl it is. Think this is a whole town problem not just Cerno’s. It is an issue when that is all the wife will drink. Also,we were charged $1.07 on the bill for a to go container. Seems to be a thing now, but both meals were almost $20 each and mine with a soda was over $20 and this is for the lunch menu. Our meal with tip was $51.++ for two meals. We have been here several times, usually for dinner, but for me in my opinion I would skip for lunch. Dinner is even more, but hopefully they would have no food sold out. Their chicken is usually very good.

Does It Really Matter
It’s been 50/50 when I’ve dined here and/or gotten take out.
It’s either amazing or the opposite.
When you get one of decent servers It’s warm and welcoming experience.
On the other hand, if you get one of the other servers you’ll spend your entire meal feeling like you did something wrong or that you’re unwelcome.
