Century Tavern — A Historic Gem with Serious Flavor & Value
I recently visited Century Tavern in North Ridgeville, and wow — it’s a place that manages to feel cozy and historic and full of personality.
️ Ambience & Vibe
The tavern’s old bones are part of its beauty. You can feel the history in the exposed brick, the reclaimed wood, the little quirks in the space. It’s the kind of place you want nearby.
Smalley Smash Burgers & Fries — The Star Combo
If there’s one thing you must try, it’s the Smalley smash burgers with a side of fries. These burgers hit all the right notes: crispy edges, juicy interior, a satisfying crust. The fries are golden, crisp, and seasoned just right — the ultimate support act. Together, they deliver that “just good” bar-food punch that lingers in your memory.
Bourbon Selection & Fair Prices
This is where Century Tavern really shines for spirits fans. Their bourbon list is impressive — they boast 40+ bourbons on offer.  That’s not just a token shelf; it’s a deep, serious collection that invites exploration.
They’ve even done bourbon flights (e.g. a “Penelope bourbon flight”) as part of specials, which shows they’re invested in letting patrons sample and savor. 
What’s more, they manage to do this without price-gouging. The bourbon pours and flights feel fair — you’re not paying a premium just because they have a big list. The balance they strike between selection and value is rare in smaller neighborhood bars.

Feel like I’ve been waiting for years for this place to open and it did not disappoint. I’ve been there multiple times over the past month. The prices are fantastic. The atmosphere and the employees are great. I truly enjoy being able to watch the latest sporting events and meet new people here, finally! Currently they do not have a kitchen but there is a food truck that comes on the weekends. I have not eaten from it but people seem to enjoy it. There are always some chips available at the bar.
