This is a great healthy spot in downtown Gainesville right near the North parking deck. I went with a big group of family and we all got something different. The menu was pretty confusing for some of us- the menu online was hard to load (it kept moving) and I think there could be an easier way to present the info. I couldn’t decide if it was a Tex-Mex style bowl place, or a salad bar- I think it’s both, which is great, but also confusing. Service was very nice and portions were good. The environment was comfortable and I would like to come back. The food was fresh and pretty simple, nothing crazy.

I read the excellent reviews and was looking forward to this place but was severely disappointed. The food is extraordinarily average and overpriced for what it is. Basically everything is from a bag or a pouch with what seems to be near zero effort. The only thing that was freshly prepared was my few chunks of tofu that while fresh had little flavor and was a pretty skimpy portion considering it’s the protein of the bowl.
The broccoli was served raw. The toppings are boring and were all the kind of things you can get at any genetic salad bar. The place is cute, the service was better than average but the food was just so dang underwhelming.

First visit was last month and for some reason, the outside looks like an art gallery. Maybe that’s just me, HA! They have salads, wraps and warm bowls. A variety of proteins and toppings to choose from. Vegan friendly, which is my fave!
Build your own bowl. Wild rice, romaine lettuce, black and pinto beans. Tofu for the protein (cooked fresh and was delectable!). 4 toppings are included. I chose chickpeas, cucumbers, beets and cabbage. Bought 2 additional – edamame and black olives. Chipotle dressing (it’s vegan!).
This bowl was perfect! You can they use fresh ingredients that are high quality. I love with places have vegan options that they take the time to make delicious. Tofu said it was seasoned, but it was way better than I thought it would be.
I will definitely be back. Super chill vibe, decently quiet and great customer service! They have feee wifi if you want to work while here or use it just because. Same owners as Consuelo, which is a few doors down. If you have not be en there yet, run now to dine in!
2nd visit – I was super excited because the first went soooo well! I knew immediately my tofu would be burnt. The guy cooked it at too high a temperature. Tofu is simple and I’m assuming it was pre-seasoned. The dish was still good but it was definitely noticeable.
Only notable thing was a group of women were playing some type of game and were pretty loud this visit. No issue as it was a gorgeous day and we ate outside. That would have been a bit annoying to me if dining inside.

I’ve only recently discovered this place right off the square and have been back 3 times in the last week! The food is clean, fresh, and so delicious! Decor is wonderful, very open and inviting space. I could work here all day if I had the choice! The employees are so sweet and friendly! I had the pleasure of meeting Centro’s owner who was behind the counter helping during today’s rush as well. This is a small business I will always and continuously support when visiting Gainesville! Love love love this place! The first time I tried a bowl here my mind was blown by how delicious and fresh everything tasted. Everytime I go the same quality is present! Love the variety of options they have to build your own salad, bowl, wrap, and nachos, or choose from their preset options. They’re always friendly, the environment is nice and clean, and just everything makes this a top tier restaurant. Definitely recommend!

What a great find for a midday lunch! I purchased the shrimp bowl— the presentation coupled with a tasty finish is worth mentioning. I was greeted the second I walked in and if I needed anything, the staff was not too far away! The atmosphere is so inviting and modern! The finishing decor is also noteworthy.

We didn’t even know this place existed until tonight! Such a great find! The food, service, and atmosphere were all exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed our meal and sat and talked for a while after and didn’t feel rushed. It was quiet and enjoyable. We look forward to coming back!

Good stuff! Just what downtown Gainesville needed for a quick, flavorful meal. Portions are plentiful, affordable and SO fresh and, super fast if you only get 30 minutes for lunch!
I love how they make your bowls right in front of you, and heat up the burrito for your wrap when you order it. Everything was delicious and I love having healthier options that still taste great. Depending on your mood, you can choose a cold salad or a hot bowl, a cold wrap or a hot wrap with tons of toppings.
I had the steak bowl with broccoli the first time I visited and the chicken tinga bowl the second time. The tinga bowl has a little spice to it, and I got the creamy cilantro jalapeño dressing to make it a little spicier! The steak was tender and the broccoli had just the right amount of bite to it. Next time, I’m trying the shrimp bowl!
There is a solid amount of protein in these meals, with lots of juicy meat and well-seasoned beans. I’ve enjoyed both the white and brown rice and the meals left me full all day.
The decor is clean and modern. I appreciate that they have considered small details that make your meal feel a little fancier – like the funky gold cutlery when you dine in or fancy plastic-wear forks and spoons you receive if you take your food to go.
There has been room to sit inside even at 12:30 both times I’ve gone or you can dine al fresco beneath umbrellas out on Bradford Street.

Great place, I was in town for a horse show. And my wife wanted some healthy food. Put it in my Google and this place popped up. And I have to say that I was very impressed. The girl upfront was very informative and gave me the right options for the spicy chicken super tasty.
