I ordered the “chicken parmigiana,” and after a reasonable wait time, my plate arrived. Yuck. The sauce tasted like cane sugar, salt, and ketchup (bulk sauce from a low-cost supplier?), the pasta was bland and mushy, and the piece de resistance was a breaded chicken patty (not a fresh chicken breast!) that tasted like a previously frozen item speed-heated for immediate consumption. The cheap cheese smothered on the pasta/sauce concoction didn’t help matters. As someone who rarely leaves food on the plate, I left quite a bit—and I was actually starving.
My wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken, as well as a cup of broccoli soup. Both were very basic, very underwhelming, and I wasn’t jealous. But it was sustenance.
This food tasted like a step above fast food, nothing more. If you’re okay with that, this will meet the mark.
Our server was very attentive, and the Ambient was lively.
I decided to have the ribeye medium rare. It’s funny on the menu the say they aren’t responsible for the quality if you order it well done. Well how about the rest of the time? I like a little dat for flavor but much of the ribeye was inedible from the fat and grizzle. I figured in Kansas I could get a decent steak for $32 but I was wrong. When I said something to the bartender it wasn’t even acknowledged. Guess that’s the meat the buy. I wouldn’t go back
I’m excited because this restaurant was within walking distance to where we parked for the evening
We looked it up and online they stated that their hours are until 10 PM, we walked over, which was several blocks and outside the door. There’s a sign that states their hours until 10 PM.
We arrived at 8:45
We walked in and the lady upfront looked at us and said I’m sorry the kitchen is closed
We reminded her of the fact that I listed above and she said I’m sorry the kitchen staff is gone
Therefore, I cannot write the food because I did not have the opportunity to try it, but I will tell you their service is the worst I’ve ever had
And I recommend you do not support a facility that would turn away people after they made an effort to be there and followed the rules as stated by the restaurant itself
I meant to tell you, we are very disappointed, we had looked at the information prior to coming to town and we’re excited to give it a try
Unfortunately, as I said, we were unable to because of the horrible service
