We enjoy coming here because it’s close and we like the menu. We’ve had a few service experiences that were challenging but keep showing up to give business to a local spot. Tonight we came on a Sunday and were excited to see half price apps and Tropicala beer on Sunday evenings. We ordered 3 apps, 2 tropicalas and several other things. When the bill arrived, they had only discounted the beer. My husband asked and was told “oh the apps are only half price for industry night.” Yet he couldn’t explain what that meant and that’s certainly not listed on the menu. It truly felt like bait and switch (which is illegal so I hope that’s not the case). Not sure how owns or manages this spot, but their business advertisements and practices need revised. Service is hit or miss. Waitress tonight was kind! Sometimes they seem bothered or hungover….

We loved Central City Tavern! We allied the warriors to recommend our meal and drinks and she did not disappoint. It’s a great spot with a great, chill vibe. They have bar seating as well as in and outdoor seating! Burgers, sandwiches, salads, wings fries and everything in between!

!!! WOMEN BEWARE !!!
Last night, I stopped by to get some work done and grab some food. As I was leaving, I witnessed a man holding a woman in a chokehold. I approached the man and asked him to stop choking her.
To make a long story short: the bartender intervened and told me they were “just playing” and that it was okay. I am not sure in what world it is acceptable to put a woman in a chokehold, but that was his position.
I was then asked to leave the property. I never raised my voice or threatened anyone; I brought awareness to the situation calmly and professionally.
This establishment does not take its customers’ safety seriously. There were only 3–4 staff members on duty, and they seemed focused on closing early while neglecting what was happening to the people they were serving.
Women: if you go here, do not go alone. The staff has made it clear that they will not step up for you, and if a bystander tries to help, the staff will ask that person to leave.
“Shady” is not even the word for how this company allows its employees to manage the business.
Lastly, when I called today, I was told the owner was at their Alpharetta location. When I spoke to the owner in Alpharetta, he made it clear he does not own the Sugar Hill location and that it’s owned by someone else.
I hope the actual owner of the Sugar Hill location see this review and makes adjustments immediately to ensure guest safety. They need to take action now and make safety their #1 priority before something avoidable happens.
Definitely lost my family and friends business that live in the area.

My question is you’re “investigating”what happened but yet it’s been 2 days since I contacted your business. I have not received a return call or acknowledgment from your company other than your review response to the public.
The owner of Alpharetta doesn’t even own that location but yet he took my call the same day. Took his time to discuss the situation and has passed my info to the actual location this review is about.
Again. I hope for the best but how can you say you want to earn my business back from a Google review but not take the initiative to contact me directly as well ?
Seems to me this is a general response to my public experience at your business more so than actually taking action in regard to what is taking place at your establishment.
It’s disappointing to see an awesome location treated like a hobby than a real business.

So I really debated about the stars between 3 & 4, but what pushed it to 3 (3 1/2) was the price. The food was good and they had a good variety of burger, tacos, wings and more. Some of the menus items were different from the typical Americana food in a good way, a fresh, new twist. The fries were the best thing I ate, but to be truthful those are absolutely my favorite type of fries so that’s really not fair to the other food. I had the hot dogs and surprisingly there was not a lot of flavor to all the toppings. It was messy to eat which is always fun. The service was fine. We had a tiny, little wait, no big deal, and our waitress checked in on us as needed for the most part. Lots of TVs with games and they were loud so it was hard for me to hear our server. The total cost for the 4 of us plus a dessert and tip was right at $90, which is expensive for a lunch. The portions were generous though. We have an exchange student and one thing on her wish list was fried oreos. Those were a hit. Everyone enjoyed their lunch, you just need to be prepared for the cost.

This place always has a great atmosphere only because of its outside area. It mostly cater towards the business crowd. If you go here any other time, it’s really just “the place that has food” and it’s definitely overpriced because they know that. I wish they put more time into their food, it’s really basic and not great. The bartenders are great, but the servers always seem irritated. This place showcases itself as the best in that area, but it’s just basic at best. For a place that tells itself as high end, I wish they were. I really only go here because they’re the only option in that spot… I feel like they have the chance to be great, and they’re just fumbling the ball.

We came here to watch the Super Bowl and it was a great atmosphere for that. Lots of TVs and actually wasn’t crowded. Our server was on top of everything! Thing is the food was very bland and not the best for the slightly high prices. The chicago hot dogs and sweet potato fries were excellent but the mac& cheese and chicken bowl were so bland. Didn’t even get a picture of it because it simply looked mediocre.

Great location and very clean. However, I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Alfredo and it taste like a plate of creamy water with seasoned with black pepper. My dessert wasn’t any better. What a waste of time and money.

Wish for this establishment to improve. Service was ok, food was brought out at separate times. The roasted wings I ordered were stiff and tasted old. The fries were end pieces. To top it all off, when the wings were sent to be prepared properly, they were returned as a pile of slop. Going out to eat should be pleasant and easy. This was not the case.

I’ve been here a number of times and it is always welcoming. The staff is very very friendly and service is always good. I love the fact that they serve tater tots! And they have fresh fries…which are always better than the ones from a freezer. The smoked wings are great and the burgers are excellent. We almost always order the shrimp and chorizo dip.
