Tons of flies! No worries there are fly swatters on the wall. No a.c. Woman running the restaurant is rude and a little bit hateful. We came in with a group of 20, I understand this can be a little be a bit overwhelming for a 2 person staff. They should be more kind to the business they do have. I can’t rate the food bc I refused to eat here.

Mary makes some of the best food I’ve ever had. The Central Burger is amazing, as long as you like blue cheese.

Great little out of the way place! It’s the old bank office I’m told. They’re open from 6am till about 2pm.
Everything is made from scratch – the bread, the cinnamon rolls, cakes, everything.
As soon as you walk in the greeted by Jackie who likes to get to know her customers – so if you don’t want to share or have a friendly conversation, this place might not be for you.
Not sure where they get their bacon, but it’s great! The French Toast is made from their homemade bread as well.
C’est Bon! (It’s Good!)

The National EMS Memorial Bike ride made a stop in Lester Prairie. The Central Cafe made a generous donation of a wonderful lunch. The sandwiches were fantastic. The bread was unbelievable! The cookies. Wow. Thank you so much. The cafe is easy to find with plenty of parking. It’s right across from the Dakota trail. A nice place to stop on your bike ride.

What a hidden gem of a cafe! Mary Kate’s pancakes are the best I’ve ever eaten. My son & I prefer them with extra chocolate chips! Choosing between sweet or savory breakfast is always a challenge so I opt for the “Lost Boys” pretty much every time (Ham & Cheese Omelette, hash browns, and a short stack). If there are any baked goods available I’d recommend scooping those up as well! If you’re in the area, stop by! It’s also located just off of the Dakota Rail Trail, so a long bike ride, broken up by a delicious meal, would make for an excellent adventure any day!

Honestly we walked in and we were excited to sit down to some home cooked food. “Home cooked food” was far from what we got. My stomach after looking at my plate ” said use caution”. Gross!!
Second of all.. A cat in a restaurant is a big no no, how do you pass health inspection. Don’t make eye contact with the cat, it will jump up in your seat. And friendly, ummm no.
And the flies, just gross.
The only pleasant thing about that place was the young girls working. They were very pleasant and friendly.
I think next time I’ll just wait in the line at the Blue Note. Super disappointing.
