We arrived around 4:30pm on a Friday night. We were told by the bartender to head to the dining room area to be sat. We waited almost 10 mins as we watched two servers talk and what I thought was look over at us. I ended up having to approach the servers to ask to be seated. From that point on service was pretty good. Would have liked the server to be more knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered a salad,pizza and a chicken sandwich. The pizza and salad were excellent, unfortunately the chicken sandwich wasn’t quite what we expected. Great atmosphere,plenty of seating We parked in the parking garage which had access right to the restaurant..

Lots of potential for this place but still getting things together. Was there over the weekend – was busy and I felt they were understaffed but everyone was super nice. Food was tasty – some things better than others.

1st visit. Saturday evening. Clean. Lighting good. Felt chilly inside…needs something to warm it up‽ Ordered drinks at the bar, good price (Happy Hour?) Toured the building upstairs and 1st floor. Game room is a nice addition. Very “open” feel.
Ordered “Ribeye Riot” and “Chicken Alavodka Sub”. R-R was fine, 7.5 out of 10. C-A was good, but needed more sauce-rather dry, 7.5 out of 10. “Cheesy Corn” side was “ok”…luke warm. Fries/tots-“ok”. Service average knowledge of menu-rather slow. Will return.

20 m to get water, 25 m to get our drinks, both wrong, 30 m to get our appetizer. (Calamari was delicious) Better service at McDonald’s. Had to wear my sweater entire time. Cold.
Went to the game room while waiting for our dinner and they cleared our table took our half full drinks double tequila & orange juice (because they didn’t have all the ingredients for my drink) and full can of Stella, even took my husband’s water glass with our coats sitting over the chairs at the table…. your salad will come with dinner unlike every other united states restaurant. Food an hour later, rib eye was sent back to the kitchen bc it was over cooked. (twice) Shrimp Scampi, try again it’s deep fried shrimp over Fettuccine! Bland. No steak sauce.
Expect bar food for restaurant quality prices. Wish you luck, but definitely wouldn’t spend my hard earned money here again.

Love this new place. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Great atmosphere and can’t wait to go back with more friends. Only pet peeve was bartender doing shots behind bar with customers waiting. Hate this but I’ll wait and see next trip if it happens again. If so then I won’t go back. Again though, the rest of the staff was perfect. All very friendly and super helpful.

Kay k sat me and my wife down and we have never felt more welcome. I 100% recommend this place the food, and atmosphere are amazing! And if the other employees are as sweet and attentive as Kay K this place is definitely going to be a weekly stop for my wife and I. Highly recommend!

Update a month later from my first review: Revisited on a Sunday early evening for dinner, party of two. Bar was full but restaurant was not. Service was still good, albeit slow. Food was still just okay/good, and took a longer time to come out than it should have. Weird that they couldn’t accommodate a side order of pita bread to go along with the salad I ordered, but okay, whatever. Surroundings were still nice. Still hoping this place catches on. I think they are going to have to up their game on the food and service, but still a nice place to sit and have drinks, nonetheless.
Original review: Went here for our first time last night. (on a Monday) Party of three. Really nice interior, great surroundings. Bar was full on a Monday night, and lively, which was a great sign. After being seated, it took nearly 10 minutes before any waitstaff came to our table, which was a bummer, but I think everyone is still new and they are working the kinks out. Food was good, and lots to choose from on the menu. This place has potential to be a real destination dining & entertainment type place (think Dave & Buster’s but on a smaller scale). As more people try it out, I think the appeal will build for sure. Burgers were good but not quite as “smashed” as a smashburger should be. Crab rolls were very tasty. No desserts on the menu.
We will definitely be back. Nice to have some good upscale-ish options in downtown Elmira.
If management is reading this, think about adding larger directional signs on Main Street, Carl Proper, etc to direct traffic how to get in and where to park. And post more on instagram/social media to drive traffic and increase interest & excitement. Great spot. Looking forward to our next visit.

First visit here. We came looking for a specific server, Corinne, as we regularly visit her at the other restaurant she works at and had asked us to stop by to try it out. We were disappointed to find she wasn’t working as she told us she works there every Sunday. The food was good, but the service left something to be desired. We were told to seat ourselves by the bartender. Once we found a seat after looking for Corinne and not seeing her, we waited at least 10 minutes for the server to stop by the table to drop off menus and get our drink order. It qas not busy, there were only 4 or 5 tables, including us. Took probably another 5 minutes to get our drinks. Once we finally placed our order, it took almost a half hour to actually get our food. By the time we got almost done with our food, we needed refills, but never saw our server. I got up to go to the bathroom and saw both servers on that day sitting at another table in the corner, slouched over like they were hiding, just talking and laughing. We waited close to another 10 minutes before she came by to see if we were ready for the check. I won’t go again unless I know for sure Corinne is working.
