The service was the sore spot of my visit. This lady was just not having a good day and I only asked her if she could tell me what the gabacha cenita had in it. There’s a sign that lists the ingredients on the left side of the window where you order and pickup. Save yourselves the attitude. It came with a lot of stuff: pollo empanizado, bacon, avocado that was not ripe all the way, sliced jalapenos turning red (not chipotle yet), onion, tomato and a slice of cheese and there’s some gallop of dressing in the middle of it all and none on the telera bread roll so it’s very dry; I could not decipher what type of dressing it was, whether mayo or thousand Island tbh. The bacon was more on the crispy side and it’s what saved the cemita IMO. The breaded chicken was disgusting unfortunately. There was enough even though the fillets were very thin but it tasted rancid, like the oil was over it’s due date or overused and it just had that taste. It was not good. I could taste the old oil throughout the sandwich because of it. I wasn’t a fan of the cheese they used either. Maybe it was Munster but I rather have the shredded Oaxacan quesillo typically used, I guess, hence why it’s called la gabacha. The ‘sandwich’ was filling but nothing I struggled to finish for it’s size on an empty stomach (only for it’s taste). For $12.50 (tax included) I would have wanted better quality of breaded chicken and avocado and some chipotle mayo. And someone mentioned in their review that the cemita came with chipotle..well, that was not the case for me and I wish it had. I was not asked if I wanted to add it either. There was no line and it was about a 5 minute wait for my meal. I parked on the back but did see some parking in the front that you can access if you’re traveling eastbound on Whittier. I’ll say there’s at least 10 spots to park on their lot. There’s some tables outdoors that give a chill atmosphere. There was a cemita stand next door on a Friday evening. I’m definitely try to check that one out next time instead.

Authentically poblano cemitas. I’ve been coming here with my mom for years and the quality is always delicious. Parking can be a lil tight.

Finally getting around to leaving a review. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s hands down my favorite spot. I originally came for the milanesa cemitas, but the Gabacha cemita completely won me over. And the chipotle? So good. 10/10 highly recommend.

I use to love coming here but after today I don’t think I’ll ever come here again. The customer service is horrible. Be careful how you order because if they don’t hear you order what you want then they’ll blame you for not ordering correctly. Then when you try to ask to fix the order they will refuse to help you or give you your money back. And funny thing is apparently they aren’t “refusing” to help you but when they say no to fixing the order or when they say no to giving your money back that’s refusing . I just think you need to take some customer service classes. And the thing is I didn’t even wanna argue but when they can’t even talk you as a civilized person without attitude that’s when I start to get mad. Something so small as a simple mistake and apparently to them the customer is the problem always

Amazing!! Delicious and the environment was great. They had a singer there who was really good and made our time eating there better! Will be back again!

The food was fantastic! We were visiting from out of town and liked it so much we went back twice. The Cemita, a traditional sandwich from Puebla, Mexico, was well-cooked and delicious. I bought two Cemitas and two drinks for about $30. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The best Cemitas (Mexican sandwiches) around! It’s like no other sandwich that I’ve ever had before. One huge hunk of beef, avocado slices, cheese, and chipotle peppers that build with more and more heat with each bite. We also enjoyed the tacos arabes (Middle Eastern BBQ style meets Mexican tortillas and style).

Small place but serves great cemitas. They have patio seating only. Its the kind of place where you sit if there’s a place available if not your eating standing. The place is clean and there’s parking. The food is also clean and very good.
