We LOVE Celsos! They have the best Spanish rice. You also get free chips and salsa and soup! The servings are huge so you definitely get your money’s worth. It’s a small family owned restaurant and they’re very sweet. My son’s favorite anywhere we go is nachos. They don’t have it on their menu but the sweet lady working offered to make him some. She went above and beyond my expectations.

We received the chips salsa and sopita.. my god all 3 were delicious! My coworker and I asked for more sopita and chips, the server said of course!

The service was +10 super friendly, very knowledgeable of their menu, also her recommendations were on point!

My coworker-worker and I both went with her recommendation of the Red Enchiladas, I ordered mine with beans, when I tell you I traveled back to my mom’s house when I took that first bite… I am not lying, seasoning of the chicken and everything over all was on point, everything was hot.
I also ordered a Sope and my coworker-worker ordered a single quesadilla, quesadilla was big definitely worth the $4 bucks, and the Sope was delicious also. We both got a Jamaica Fresh water.. amazing you can tell they are fresh water and not the other fake ones.

Overall 10/10, I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to experience a great meal, authentic, fresh and great service from the staff.

We will definitely come back.

Delicious and authentic Mexican food. They gave us a yummy soup while we waited in addition to chips and salsa. It felt very homey, like I was eating at someone’s house. Support small businesses!

I can honestly say this place is a 10000/10!! service was great! wait time was literally like 5 minutes & everything came out hot & fresh. Chicken was cooked to perfection & what i really liked was all the condiments and topping they provided to make the food better than what it already was! I definitely recommend this place.

We traveled through Tyler on our way home from an out of state vacation. We are always hungry for Mexican food when we get back to Texas, so I turned to my friend Google to see what we could find. We are typically content with a 4.6 star rating or above, so we knew we had to try this one with a perfect 5 star rating. We were greeted and seated by Ismael, who quickly brought us homemade chips and salsa and a cup of complimentary caldo. He was so kind to describe the various menu items and recommend ones to try. He also brought out three different sauces to complement our choices, all while telling us how the dishes they serve are authentic Mexican food and not Tex-Mex. I had the super quesadilla and my husband had enchiladas. Everything was delicious! The enchilada plate had five enchiladas plus two pieces of chicken and my quesadilla was so big I was full after eating half of it. As we checked out, they invited us to return and I wish we could! We will definitely visit again the next time we are out in Tyler. If you live in Tyler, go give Celso’s a try! It’s a small (possibly family-owned) business and the service and food are incredible!

1 star is generous. Food was decent. Service was absolutely terrible. Waited 2 hours for food to be delivered in intervals for our group of 9. Came to eat together but ended up eating at at different times because the food was delivered at different times over course of the two hours we were there. Saw waiters putting fingers in the food plates when handling/delivering the food plates, soups or salsa and without gloves. And this was for not just our table but multiple tables. Completely disgusting and unhygienic. When attempting to give polite feedback to the owner, they seemed very careless and dismissive about our concerns, which is problematic when the issues are concerning hygiene and wait times. Don’t recommend it at all. Spend your money elsewhere, there are far more sanitary and better ran Mexican restaurants in Tyler.
