My wife had the Cuban sandwich and I had a BBQ sandwich. We were both happy with the flavor and portion size. It was a nice meal and our server, Kayla i think he name was, did a great job with everything.
I would definitely recommend trying this place and I’m hoping we can come back for the steak sandwich. Thanks!
For my lunch, I opted for the steak sandwich with a side of salad, accompanied by a refreshing glass of water. The steak sandwich was decent, although it was cooked closer to medium well rather than the medium rare I had requested. The salad, on the other hand, consisted of fresh ingredients, but the dressing was a bit too sour for my liking.
Overall, I believe it would be worthwhile to revisit The Cellar Door during the evening when the ambiance is livelier. Despite the slight disappointment with the steak sandwich and dressing, the excellent service from the stunning waitstaff made the experience quite enjoyable.
“A Club Hater’s Spiritual Awakening at Cellar Door (ft. Ulises Valdez, the Mixology Messiah)”
Okay, let me start by saying I hate clubs. Like, truly. I’d rather wrestle a cactus than stand shoulder-to-shoulder with sweaty strangers listening to bass that rearranges my internal organs. But somehow… SOMEHOW… Cellar Door and Ulises Valdez converted me.
From the moment I walked in, Ulises greeted me like I was a VIP celebrity who just dropped an album. The man was mixing drinks like a wizard casting spells. I swear I saw smoke and sparkles when he shook that cocktail shaker — it was art. I asked for “something good” and got a drink so delicious I momentarily saw my ancestors dancing under disco lights.
Every time I thought, “Okay, one more drink then I’m out,” Ulises would pull another masterpiece out of thin air like, “Try this one.” And of course, I had to. By the end of the night, I was hyping up strangers, vibing to music I didn’t know existed, and declaring Cellar Door my new religion.
In conclusion:
✨ The vibes — immaculate.
✨ The drinks — dangerously good.
✨ Ulises — deserves a Nobel Prize in bartending.
I walked in a club hater and left a Cellar Door disciple. If Ulises is behind the bar, I’m never skipping club night again
It is the perfect atmosphere to kick back, relax, and enjoy yourself.
Food and drinks are both fantastic. I went with the Executive Chef’s (and now HR ) seasonal recommendation of radishes and was pleasantly surprised. Never have I considered eating radishes, but if I’m back in the area and they are on the menu, I am having them again. Highly recommend you give the dish a try if it is in season.
The team is also creative with their own specialty drinks with elements from nature. I had (also recommended!) the Irish Orange Mojito. It was light, crisp, and refreshing. Perfect on its own or paired with dinner.
The whole experience was fantastic. They welcomed me in and made me feel right at home. I couldn’t be happier that they invited me to explore their menu as I was exploring Main St./Downtown Visalia.
Big shot out to the whole team, thanks for a wonderful experience!
