I went to Celestina because someone told me “it’s the best Mexican restaurant in Knoxville,” and honestly, it is very good! Everything was delicious, but the quesabirrias are spectacular! When they tell you to squeeze some lime into the broth, DO IT! You can definitely taste the liquor in the cocktails. The place is very nice and the service is phenomenal, with a VERY kind and welcoming staff!

My family tried Celestina Mexican Crafted last year shortly after it opened, and we honestly didn’t have the best experience at that time. We decided to give it another try for redemption purposes — and wow, what a 180! The food has completely transformed.
I ordered the California burrito with plantains, and it was incredible. The portion was huge, and every bite was packed with delicious flavor. The steak was tender, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. You can tell they’ve seriously leveled up their quality and execution.
Really impressed with the turnaround. We’ll definitely be back!

We visited this restaurant because friends from Chattanooga had heard about it through local awards. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Our table was dirty and sticky. One margarita was served in a dirty glass, and my wine glass had someone else’s lipstick on it. Although the restaurant was empty, our food took over 40 minutes to arrive (I’m not exaggerating), and one of the sides we ordered never came.
When we looked for our server, she was crying in the bathroom. Other staff members were arguing, and the manager seemed unconcerned. The food was okay and the portions were good, but paying $18 for drinks served in dirty glasses is unacceptable. It’s not about the money — it’s about cleanliness and respect for customers. In my personal opinion, it’s not worth visiting. I sincerely hope they improve their customer service, work environment, and cleanliness standards if they intend to continue being recognized. Unfortunately, based on this experience, the restaurant felt no better — if not worse — than a street-side establishment. I apologize if this review sounds strong, but it reflects our honest experience.

A hidden gem ! Mexican food with a little extra flare and it’s absolutely delicious. Great margaritas & tres leches cake. Celestina has become one of my favorite spots.

New to this area and wanted some good vegetarian tacos. This place did not disappoint. They literally have some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The staff was amazing they closed within the hour of me ordering still took my Togo order which was pretty big. On to go orders they ask that you pay over the phone if its over a certain amount. All I had was cash and my word that I would pick up my order and the lovely woman allowed me to pay cash when I got there. This place is amazing and it will be my go to spot for great mexican food. I cant wait to dine in and have a margarita . I recommend you give them a try!

We hosted a large family and friends gathering here for a milestone birthday, and everything was outstanding from start to finish.
Mariana and her team were incredible to work with during planning – flexible, communicative, and genuinely accommodating, which made the event completely stress-free. When we arrived, they were fully prepared and the staff was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and never once made us feel rushed.
The food came out fast, hot, and delicious. The flavors were authentic, they don’t skimp on the meat or fillings, and every bite was on point. Everyone in our group was impressed with both the food quality and the service. They even surprised us with sparklers on the cake we brought, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Great food, great margaritas, and a team that truly cares. We’ll be back often.

Best Mexican food in Knoxville! Overall 10/10 experience. The staff is super nice and helpful. Most delicious chips and salsa I’ve ever had, and they were nothing compared to the main meal! All the food came out piping hot which you don’t see a lot these days. Carnitas flautas, chicken burrito bowl, and chicken street tacos were all presented beautifully and tasted amazing! No complaints!
