Spent the night at MOA and had not been to Cedar & Stone yet so we made a reservation. When entering at 5:30 on a Friday the place was fairly empty. The decor is very minimal. So much so it was a bit uninteresting. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the Braised shortrib and it was very good but she has had better. She also had a side salad and loved it. I had the Amish chicken and it was wonderful. I also had a bowl of Chicken wild rice soup. It was probably on of the best I’ve had. They sprinkled crispy fried rice on top for a great crunchy texture. Drinks were spot on too. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We were at Cedars + Stone Urban Table for a Christmas dinner-party gathering of a dozen longtime friends December 6, 2025. We reserved the private dining room and our experience there was exceptional. The room accommodated our group size beautifully, service was friendly and helpful, and the food was fantastic. We each ordered individually off the menu and each chose differing dishes. Everyone’s selection was cooked to perfection, plated and presented beautifully, and enjoyed thoroughly. Transparency note: The private dining room has a minimum food and beverage minimum, so check that out before you book it. It is not cheap. But we were all willing to pay for this once-a-year special event at this venue and were quite pleased with our choice from every angle (food, service, ambiance and atmosphere). Everyone agreed that our experience was upscale and holiday-perfect. Highly recommend for such an event!

I came here for the 1st time on New Years Eve and had a great experience! I made reservations online so seating wasn’t an issue. Upon arriving staff was very friendly. Were sat immediately. I ordered the shrimp grits and sourdough bread. My partner ordered the wings with carrots. Everything arrived very quickly and was absolutely delicious! The only con was the service itself. The waiter was very short and we don’t get water until after 15 minutes of being sat. Lastly, the waiter never checked in on us once. He only checked on us when we ordered and then again to give us the check. Overall food was phenomenal but the service was mediocre given the price of the food.

In late October, we decided to visit the Marriott Connected to the mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The restaurant on the premises was called Cedar + Stone. We ate a couple of meals there and could not have been more pleased.
The ambience of the restaurant is fantastic. The menu seems to hold something for everyone. I found the menu to be fantastic and the kitchen was able to adjust certain things to help. Accommodate some of my dietary preferences. Honestly, I would go back if I ever visit the area again.
I added all the pictures from both visits to the restaurant. The table setting and the food were so well presented. The salmon dishes were both spectacular and tasted great, my dining companion liked the Wagyu NY steak, but preferred the
Minnesota Ribeye, and side dishes and appetizers were perfect. (The Long Island iced tea was not the greatest tho the Moscow mule made up for that.)

Excellent place to grab a bite when you’re at the Mall of America. I’m so glad we found this spot. We visited the mall for the Vatican Unveiled event and were hungry afterward. We didn’t want to walk around the mall searching for food and were happy to find this restaurant conveniently located on the first floor. It’s connected to a hotel, but you can easily access it directly from the mall. Our waitress was attentive, and our water glasses were refilled frequently. The food was delicious and cooked exactly as we requested. We will definitely be coming back.

Ecstatically pleased! Wonderful atmosphere with great coffee, service and food! Super friendly staff and a wonderful chef and team working the kitchen! The green energy smoothie was phenomenal! The buttermilk pancakes are dense but tasty. The cedar + stone breakfast was cooked to absolute perfection, fell in love with all of the different flavors, including in the difference of the breakfast potatoes. We were surprised with an offering of carrot juice after our meal, (normally I am not a fan of carrots or ginger), but surprisingly shocked at how much I enjoyed it!
I highly recommend visiting this place with family for a nice outing. We look forward to coming back!

Highly recommend Cedar and Stone. Friendly greeting at the door. Susmita was our server and was excellent. She was gracious, thoughtful and provided and friendly vibe. Great service. Seated promptly and beverage order served immediately. Coffee was excellent and love the coffee and saucer vibe. Extra touch of class. Ordered the hash option and Quinoa omelette with sourdough. Both delivered quickly and served hot. Excellent selection of jams for the toast. Highly recommend for a next level breakfast experience with gracious professional service.

The Truffle Garlic Sourdough bread is simply delicious
Paired that with the Skunaa Bay Salmon to make a perfect dinner.
Amy the waitress was supper pleasant and attentive.
The chef took consideration of my lactose allergies and ensured there was no cheese on my bread

Grok recommended this restaurant when searching for “best places to eat at MOA.” Since we were staying at the JW the convenience of this made it a no brainer. We arrived for an early dinner, just before 5pm. Only one other table seated so we expected quick service.
Our server Jaden seemed to be the only server there. We were passed by several times and finally greeted and our beverage order taken. The mulled sangria was so bitter, I do not recommend ordering this $16 drink. We orders the truffle fries to start our meal. Best part and the highlight of our experience…fries. The filet was tough, it was hard for me to watch my husband cut his steak with the knife due to the sawing motion (we ordered it medium). The $18 side of garlic shrimp that we added onto the $58 steak were just ok. Beautifully presented but also mediocre was the short rib. While super tender it lacked flavor and depth even w the Demi glacé. Grits and micro greens surrounded the short rib which were also flavorless and a bit “sticky” in texture compared to other grits I’ve had. My guess is they were overcooked.
We skipped dessert and any other cocktails as we decided to peruse other venues at the MOA who offered holiday cocktails. Disappointed that Cedar + Stone didn’t have any holiday offerings and weren’t able to craft any from their bar staples.
The restaurant is modern in decor, tables offered privacy and ample space but the timing, attentiveness and execution of our meal fell extremely short. No great views and nothing remarkable about the inspiration for design here.
Overall, we were disappointed we chose this restaurant for our “staycation” dinner (as kid-free nights to dine out are a rarity for us) and we were really looking forward to trying out the menu. Maybe we caught them on an off night, but given the lack of diners at the restaurant I’m not sure how/why they couldn’t deliver.
