Great food, Rough experience
The food was really good. We had fried fish as a starter, and the Combo de Tacos (2 shrimp, 2 fried fish) was delicious. My partner had the seafood rice, which was also very good.
That said, the experience wasn’t great. We waited about 30 minutes for a table even though some were empty, then nearly 1 hour and 40 minutes for our main dishes. Other tables were waiting just as long, with no explanation or apology. It was also very cold inside — people kept going outside just to warm up.

Got to know about this place from our rideshare driver so it’s a local’s recommendation and it didn’t disappoint! The food was amazing, especially the Chicken Mofongo and Crazy Shrimp Tacos. We also tried their specialty drinks, and they were great. I’d definitely come back for the food, no question. Our server was very friendly. We wish we had more time so we could go back a few times to try more dishes.

We had to ask for a server to take our order after the time we got there. Pretty much one server for all the places. The apps we had were good. They have a happy hour every day between 3-7pm. They have a very limited selection of alcohol for the happy hour.

My server Ms. Evelyn was lovely as were the conch fritters and my strawberry margarita. However, I was less impressed by the mofongo. This was my first taste of it though and it was not what I was expected given my previous experience of plantains. The plantain was not very flavorful. Also I has a signature drink, the strawberry fizz. Was not fizzy at all. Very syrupy-sweet. Would like to try something else on the menu l.

Dined in with 5 friends for dinner. I ordered parlemo drink which was very nice. For food I ordered pasta with shrimp which was also good. Service was overall ok but they were t able to split our cheques which was absurd.
One of us ordered veg arepa which had fish smell in it. For a vegetarian to have any food with fish smell was not appropriate.

Delicious fried snapper. First time at this location and our server Mike was excellent. Wait was a little long for a table and they don’t take reservations but overall it was worth the wait.
Only critique was the tostones lacked any flavor or seasoning.

Mike at Cayo Caribe loved this man! He was such a great server. We decided to go to Cayo caribe during one of our first days while on vacation. We had been recommended by a lot of locals, reviews of this place were also great. Upon arrival we were greeted nicely and sat down. Our server Mike promptly attended us and gave us plenty of recommendations. We greatly appreciated this! He recommends us different drink options and food options. Of course he recommended their red snapper. We browsed the menu, and opted to go with mikes red snapper recommendation. BEST FISH EVER! I literally still think of it til this day. We had a tamarindo mojito and a mango mojito as well they were delicious!
Since we loved it so much we returned the night before our flight back home. This time around they had sold out on their red snappers but we opted for a shrimp risotto and surf and turf type dish. I don’t recall the exact name. Mike wasn’t our server the second time but we did see him and of course he recognized us! Which in fact made me feel beyond welcome and seen! I cannot wait to visit PR once again.
Shout out to Mike he made our visit to PR memorable.

My wife and I were looking for something different, local food and atmosphere, we found it. We sat at the bar outside and our bartender provided the best service we could ask for. Made recommendations on the food to try and our drinks were made top shelf.
We had the calamari appetizer, just fantastic. I had the seafood stew and my wife had the shrimp dinner. We came away feeling like we had one the best meals so far on the island.
Highly recommended this restaurant to those looking for something different and are ready to eat.

Red snapper was the catch of the day so no need to look at other options. It had an added bonus of shrimp, clams and calamari in a chili sauce on top of the fish. The food was fantastic.

Had a fantastic time at the restaurant. Highlight was our server Daniel. When asked could we order a Hugo Spritz he obliged us by making it for us. His general banter and customer service were impeccable.
