The service was very bad and the food was disappointing. The chef was very rude, when we commented on one of the rolls as it was not described correctly from the paper. He did not give us a chance to speak and was very aggressive and disrespectful in the way he spoke to us. They are very skimpy with the fish quantity as well, I ordered a shrimp tempura roll and there was little to no shrimp in the batter.

Cayenne provides quality sushi at a fairly competitive flat and transparent price. They sell hot, cold, and raw food of both Chinese and Japanese types, appealing to all members of the family. I found their sushi above average (not amazing) and certainly worth $30 for All You Can Eat dinner. The servers were kind and attentive.
The ambiance is pretty simple and not impressive. Go for the food. Don’t expect nice tables, lighting, music, or decor.
However, there may be a substantial wait between ordering and receiving food, particularly during a busy dinner service, so make sure you order promptly and anticipate a 30 or 40 min lag between ordering and eating.

shrimp tempura was so bad barely to find shrimp and its too greasy other sushi roll are less than normal. Charged me $14 for 20 month toddler which eat latterly 2 forks of crab salad and the chef told me kids don’t eat for free and they charge me 2 dollars for not eating the greasy shrimp roll and when i told them that i didn’t eat it for that reason the chef was mad at me and left me. I didn’t pay any tip and when i checked my account they charged me for $13 tip which i told them that i will not pay. Was the first and last to go to that place

The waiter was fine, but the food honestly wasn’t good. The tempura had barely any shrimp in it, and the batter was super thick and nasty.

We ordered the all-you-can-eat, but we only ordered a few pieces of sushi. Even then, we waited almost an hour. When my mom politely asked how much longer it would take, the sushi chef suddenly ran out from behind the counter and started yelling at us.

My dad got really mad and argued with him, and then the chef straight up kicked us out. The worst part was the owner — who’s Chinese — seemed to have an attitude toward other Asian customers.

It is a one and done. The all you can eat is fun, but honestly so some math. If you aren’t eating more than 3 rolls don’t get the all you can eat! I was not impressed with the food and I’ve gotten sushi rolls from grocery stores that tasted better. The tempura was doughy and soft, the dumpling meat tasted weird, and the filling in the rangoons was fairly tasteless. If I ever go back I’m ordering off the menu and it won’t be sushi. I did enjoy the rules though. No sharing and you pay for every piece you don’t eat! I love it. I didn’t eat rules though so not dying to go back any time soon. My canned soda was spot on and the people were nice.

Cayenne Sushi is a hidden gem. The fish is incredibly fresh, the Cayenne Signature Roll packs the perfect spicy punch, and the presentation is top-notch. Friendly staff, cozy modern vibe, and a great sake selection. Definitely worth the splurge—will be back soon!

TLDR:
A very fulfilling and diverse All-You-Can-Eat sushi dinner for $35 w/ tip. Relatively long wait before sushi gets on the table, but the quality is great. Service can be hit or miss depending on time and table size.

Came with a handful of friends on a weekday night, so there wasn’t a big crowd, but still several tables. Cayenne gave a slightly shady first impression, but it wasn’t that bad once we sat down and started getting food.

The AYCE comes in rounds – you check what you want for each round, and they will get it to the table, giving you and the restaurant a chance to pace yourself. However, each leftover piece is charged $1: sashimi, sushi, nigiri, or whatnot. The owners keep a close eye on that, so definitely avoid overordering off the bat.

The wait between appetizers and the sushi can be overbearing (~45 min), but it makes sense: There are only a handful of sushi chefs, and they present everything you order per round at the same time on a single plate, regardless of how much or how little you order for yourself.

I personally liked the nigiri/sashimi here better than the sushi rolls. I enjoyed their scallion pancakes as well. Most of what we ordered here was fantastic, so try as much as possible without leaving any leftovers!

Honestly one of the best AYCE sushi in the area for the price. The food is fresh and is made to order. Super friendly staff and I believe it’s run by just 2 people most of the time.

To the people complaining about the wait time, don’t be so impatient. It’s just 1 chef making all the rolls and 1 server bringing everything out.

This is outrageous and appalling. There was only one other table of customers in the entire restaurant. Not only did the service not work, but the waiters were also aggressive and forced you to add an 18% tip. The food was also terrible, with limited selection. Even if you didn’t finish a single piece, you were fined and had to pay compensation. This is my first and last time here… So disappointing.
