Tried CAVA for the first time today and honestly, I get the hype now. I walked in with zero idea what I was doing. I even asked if I was supposed to pretend I was at Chipotle and build my bowl like that. The staff laughed with me, not at me, and really guided us through everything. They let us taste different meats, explained all the options, and the portions were very generous. They kept up with my humor the whole time and were super respectful, which I really appreciated.
The manager was also incredibly kind and covered our drinks, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Food just hits different when you are served with kindness, and today proved that. Coming from Northern California where we do not have CAVA, this was the best introduction I could have asked for. If you are in the area, definitely stop by. Great food, great people, and honestly, Chipotle could never.

I don’t want to give 1 star because I want to account for all the times that it has been really good. However, I do want the managers to see and know that the last 2 times I’ve ordered from here, the bowl was about half full. Last night it was not only half full, but the entire protein was missing which was the chicken AND they forgot the vinaigrette which made the whole meal bland. Not that I could even eat that bowl because the romaine lettuce was SOOOO old and soggy and tasted old and was sooo disgusting. We could’ve really gotten sick. Please make sure the lettuce isn’t rotten at least. I usually love Cava and saw it as a fresh food option but my friend and I will be taking a break for a very long time from it now. In the pics you can see the small portion of my bowl as well as 2 pictures of the rotten lettuce.

Super friendly and efficient team in the Bethesda Cava. The restaurant was clean and they were also cleaning up the food area which was nice to see while getting my bowl made. Food was great and had no issues, consistently a quick and reliable dinner option for me.

Love this spot! The food tastes fresh every time, and I’ve never had a bad experience here. The staff is welcoming and helpful, and the place is always spotless. Definitely worth going out of your way for this location.
