The title says it all. The red meat was abundant and oh, so good. Animal heads in the bar area are authentic, the OG surroundings. Our server Roxanne was amazing and kept us happy with endless salad. Happy hour is the best place to be in Redding at 4pm -10pm. Stop for the food stay for the hospitality. This place gets unlimited stars Make sure you stop by!

Food was good, not sure it was worth the price. Steak and shrimp scampi were nice, although the sear was a bit strong on the steak and it was clear the cook knew, as he put it on the bottom side. This wasn’t too bad, but service was the problem. Only saw the server when she delivered our entrees. Others took our order and delivered the sides. Someone else finally delivered the check we requested, and that took 25 minutes.

Went in for birthday dinner. Even though it was a Friday and around 6pm, was still able to find a table for 3 in the bar area with no wait. Happy hour menu was great. Had the prime rib dip, salad with fries and the spiked blackberry lemonade. They honestly should just sell that drink by the pitcher because it’s absolutely delicious. Had the fried apple pie Ala mode for dessert. Great time. Great service. Thanks!!!

Last year on Veteran’s Day, I took my friend, also a Navy veteran, here for their free Veteran’s dinner. This year I went by myself because my friend was too ill. Just like last year, the food was plentiful and delicious, cooked to perfection. It warmed my heart to see how respectful all the employees were and the gratitude they displayed towards all the Veteran’s of all ages. The entire experiences, both times, we’re such that I would still choose to dine there even if the meal wasn’t free. In fact, it was so good that I almost felt somewhat guilty for the meal being free. And I will honestly add that the larger than usual tips I left had nothing to do with the meal being free and everything to do with the service and food being exceptional and better than I’ve experienced anywhere else in this area of northern California. As soon as my friend is feeling better, we are going back for another great steak dinner.

Michelle took care of all the arrangements and made things very easy for me to understand. Our server was Carol. She was amazing. Make sure you tip Carol well.

This was my first time at Cattlemens. I didn’t think I would care much about this place and had only came here because others in our party suggested this place. To my surprise, I liked the steaks here. It is not House of Prime Ribs quality, but if you can’t book a reservation with that top notch steak house, Cattlemens would be my next choice! I ordered my steak with blue cheese crumbles melted on top and that was super delicious!The staff who served us was super friendly. The young male hostess was also super cordial. When we were leaving, he walked briskly ahead of us to open the door for us. Overall, I had a great experience here and I would definitely come back to Cattlemens for more steaks in the future.

The food was delicious. I ordered the Western Cut prime rib. The sides aren’t on the menu but it is a simple offering since the meat is the focus. Still delicious!
Or server did good at first, but then got too interested in taking to the table next to ours, then it took awhile to get any assistance.
The atmosphere is decent, a bit loud at times of course, but we could hold conversations just fine with out having to fight to be heard.
Huge parking lot, plenty of parking, but you may have to walk a small distance if it gets busy. There is designated handicapped parking as well.
Overall a good experience and great food.
