Cattleman’s Roadhouse is a locally owned, Kentucky Proud restaurant. We are not a chain, but we do now have several locations in the surrounding area. We are just a couple of Kentucky boys serving great steaks! We pride ourselves in local buying and suppliers. When we opened our first restaurant, we scoured the state to find the best quality foods possible. Our steaks are aged 28 days, hand-cut, and are second to none in tenderness and flavor. Our burgers are Aspen Ridge All Natural Beef that is certified, humanely raised, with NEVER any antibiotics. From our locally sourced produce to our handmade desserts by Helen, we strive to serve better quality foods than other casual restaurants.

Laid back steak house. We got here at 4:30 for an early evening meal. As soon as we got seated our waitress took our drink order and then I headed over to check out the salad bar. A very nice salad bar with lots of choices; a real winner. I knew right away I wanted a ribeye. I got a sweet potato side and also the salad bar. Hubby got a patty melt with fries and also added the salad bar.
The steak was properly cooked, the sweet potato melted in my mouth and the salad bar added the freshness my meal needed. Hubby said the patty melt was good/average and the salad bar was a salad bar! If hubby had been happier, this place would have earned a 5 star.
Ladies room was clean and functioning. Waitress good but not overly happy or attentive.

Our 3rd time at this location. We’ve driven 2.5 hours to eat here in the past. It’s always been fantastic. Today passing through we was looking forward to our favorite steak dinner. Wasn’t a long wait. 10 minutes or so on a Friday night.
The young male host was nice.
Our waitress brought out very very dark rolls. We asked for some that wasn’t so overdone. She said she would see if she could. She did. Said we can take the others home to feed the animals or whatever.
Broccoli completely cooked to mush. $4 for a tiny bowl of mush. We always get broccoli here it’s always large serving and perfect.
Baked potatoes was perfect.
One of our steaks was terrible. Couldn’t cut it. It was NOT medium it was rare. Couldn’t cut it. Assumed it was a dull knife. Nope couldn’t hardly chew it. Very tough. I didn’t want a scene so was dealing with it until I couldn’t no more so o shoved it to the end of the table.
Waitress took it back and let me know how she yells at them about it mooing and it goes in one ear and out the other with them. I said I don’t want a scene. Anyways guy brings out the steak and was offended when we said it was still rare and didn’t taste good. Mind you there was another steak cooked perfectly at our table. He walks away acting offended. Waitress come back and loudly announces loudly oh well at least you got a free steak.
I didn’t ask for a free steak I asked to not pay for the crap steak that I tried hard to chew and I was eating my sides in which I’d pay for also. She kept bringing my husband refills wouldn’t get me one. Multiple times said I’d like a refill when she asked. Everyone else got theirs not me. It was water! She had me fighting tears and I walked out to our vehicle. Not one hostess even said a word to me leaving. I was treated like garbage and I feel it’s because of the rolls. I’m sure I probably ate a steak from the floor. There was no seasoning and it was also rare and they was butthurt over it and just walked away. Why ask me to cut into it if you aren’t gonna like when it’s still screwed up?
But the treatment I received has now ruined us coming back here. Absolutely Unacceptable treatment to a customer who wasn’t being loud. Wasn’t making a scene yet one was made for me!
The zero tip was reflected in the poor treatment and humiliation and causing me to fight tears over it. BTW we are VERY VERY good tippers.

The food is definitely not anything to write home about. My bourbon glazed salmon was terrible! It was super fishy, massively overly salted and I couldn’t even taste the glaze! My husband’s steak was mostly fat that was inedible. My little, didn’t even bother to eat his burnt corn dog. This is one of the first times I have left a restaurant still hungry. You get one protein and one side! Choose carefully bc you might just still have to go home and make something else to eat. We ate here as someone’s suggestion and it’s newer to the area… not worth trying! Should have gotten the all you can eat salad bar

Our steaks were cooked to our preferred doneness. I always look forward to their baked potatoes. The salad bar is loaded with plentiful options and is constantly tended to by the staff.
The only suggestion that I would give is to lower the volume of the overhead music. It forces people to talk louder to be heard over it, which in turn raises the level of noise!

We had a party of 12 and were sat after 40 minutes of waiting which wasn’t bad. Appetizers were good as we tried a lot of them. The cheese fries were overly cooked but other than that good. Ribs were very tender and the BBQ was good. Steaks were a hit even though two of them had to be sent back. They have a peppery seasoning on them but not overly powerful. It was perfect. The kids enjoyed their salad bar as did the adults. The salad bar was the star of the show with a lot of offerings. Food was fresh and delicious. We didn’t realize you get rolls as the server forgot but she did bring some at the end for us to try. The rolls were great and the cinnamon butter was delicious. For four of us it was $88 so not terrible.

First time here while in town, just a few steps from our hotel so figured why not try it…2-3 stars. Had 8oz cattleman’s sirloin, cowboy ribeye, side of Mac n cheese, add on 1 unlimited salad bar, 2 waters with mountain dew and peanut butter pie to go …$63ish. 5pm on Friday got busy fast but no wait when we arrived. Waitress was nice, got complimentary bread with cinnamon butter, best part of the meal….SMH. Both steaks were supposed to be medium, you can see one is almost well done and one is rare. The sirloin had no flavor whatsoever like not even a drop of seasoning. Both Mac n cheese were room temp and tasted boxed, no depth of flavor. Salad bar is hard to mess up, had good options but the broccoli mix, potato salad at the end again had no flavor at all. Peanut butter pie was meh, had one bite. Absolutely would not go back!

Arrived before 5pm before the crowd which were waiting when we left. Salad bar ample. Food was good, not great. Two ordered beef tips which both said were tough. Fish filet and ribs were good. Our server, Veronica, did her best considering she had too many tables. Eventually got back with napkins, but did not return with to-go drinks. Fridays are busy.

Salad bar was sparse but they did have ever kind of salad dressing you could ask for just hardly any lettuce or greens to put it on. But what I was able to get was good with raspberry vinaigrette.

We were seated way in the back by the bar ,kitchen and men’s bathroom. Yeah that goes real well with your dinner.
Dishes clanging and dropping, men coming in and out of a very used restroom!
And people drinking and having fun.
Which I was not.
After a long day being a lead pilot car to an oversized load I was really looking forward to coming here because of all the hope and it was such a letdown.
The waitress that took our order forgot my lemons that I had requested when she ask for our drink order told me she would bring them back to me when she forgot the first time but never did till I went up and asked for them.
She brought use our food then finally came back and asked us how’s everything 10 min after . We didn’t have extra time to wait till they threw it back on the grill .
So I took it back to the truck to microwave it was just too bloody for me to eat I usually get it medium rare but this was too chewy and bloody for me.
Waitress only came back to give bill and didn’t even come back to collect like she had done for other tables around us
That she seemed to know.
We had to go to the bar again to pain the bar maid.
She seemed real nice.

This is my go to steak house. If you want a steak you can almost cut with a fork, this is the place. There is nothing you can order that doesn’t taste good. The salad bar is always fresh and full and clean. Family friendly. The servers are bubbly and always in a good mood. Depending on the day and time there is at least a 15min wait for a table. But it is soooo worth the wait.
