Cattleman’s Roadhouse is a locally owned, Kentucky Proud restaurant. We are not a chain, but we do now have several locations in the surrounding area. We are just a couple of Kentucky boys serving great steaks! We pride ourselves in local buying and suppliers. When we opened our first restaurant, we scoured the state to find the best quality foods possible. Our steaks are aged 28 days, hand-cut, and are second to none in tenderness and flavor. Our burgers are Aspen Ridge All Natural Beef that is certified, humanely raised, with NEVER any antibiotics. From our locally sourced produce to our handmade desserts by Helen, we strive to serve better quality foods than other casual restaurants.

Down-home steakhouse featuring hand-cut meats, plus burgers & other American eats in a casual space.

My husband and I went on Valentines Day to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary. We were seated quickly which shocked me due to it being Valentines and I am disabled with a walker. They found a perfect cozy corner where my walker would be out of the way and I could enjoy the meal. Then the worst happened. I got my period during dinner and had ruined my dress. I was humiliated. I got my walker and told my husband I would be right back. I waddled to the hostess stand where I very humbly asked the two hostess ladies if they could help me in my time of need. These girls are a total chefs kiss of perfection for a girls girl. They got me squared away discreetly, made me laugh to ease my embarrassment and assured me this was NOT going to ruin our anniversary dinner. These girls made me feel seen, valued, and cared for which was outside the scope of their jobs but they made a world of difference for me. My husband requested to go boxes when he realized what had happened and we quietly took our meal to go but before going, the ladies were kind enough to get a picture of us as a momento for the anniversary. And you know what? They were right, my night wasnt ruined and it was thanks to their efforts and compassion. Oh yes and the food was delicious too, I got bourbon glazed salmon and my husband ordered a huge steak which he closed his eyes as he enjoyed every bite. Thank you Cattlemans in La Grange for making this dining experience wonderful.

I recently visited Cattlemen’s Roadhouse, and it truly exceeded my expectations from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the place feels genuinely welcoming to everyone. As soon as you enter, you’re greeted with friendly smiles and a comfortable, relaxed environment that sets the tone for a great dining experience.

One thing that stood out immediately was how clean and well-maintained everything was. From the dining area to the restrooms, the level of cleanliness shows the pride the staff takes in their work. It makes the entire experience feel even more enjoyable and stress-free.

A huge part of what made our visit exceptional was our server, Sabrina. She was absolutely on top of everything—attentive without being overwhelming, quick with refills, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Her positive attitude and genuine care for her customers made our meal even better. It’s rare to find service that feels both professional and personal, but Sabrina delivered that perfectly.

Overall, Cattlemen’s Roadhouse is a great place to enjoy a good meal with great service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly, clean, and welcoming dining experience.

Great place to eat! We arrived at 9 pm on a Tuesday after a long day of traveling. We were greeted with a smile and sat. To start, the waitress was great! The salad bar was fresh and delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly! We knew it was late, but there was no rushing. The kitchen was still cooking everything. We will be back every time we are in La Grange!

We had a good meal, served in a timely manner. I read previous posts about portion sizes. Here are pictures of their dinner plates. I was disappointed when I realized, late, that I ordered the single pork chop dinner, and they charged me for the double.

My husband and I stop at the Lagrange location often when traveling, it is our half way point. We usually have Robin as our server and we are always so happy to see her. She always reciprocates the happiness with a round of hugs, it always makes us feel so welcomed and Wednesday was no different. Although we got no hugs, because she wasn’t feeling well ( and it showed) and didn’t want to get us sick. But nothing prepared us for the show we got, it was the most hilarious banter between Robin and her co-worker (Tia is her name I believe) who was sharing the space or section, whatever it is. The two gave a show of old school comedy club proportion. I truly have not laughed so hard in some time, they still have me giggling. The food and service were spot on as always and the show was an added bonus!
GREAT JOB LADIES, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND THE LAUGHS, YOU BOTH ARE ABSOLUTLY GORGOUS INSIDE AND OUT!

Food quality was subpar..I always get a ribeye. And I couldn’t even tell it was a ribeye. I was on a date so I didn’t want to complain. This was the Lexington location. I’d never go again. Our waitress was sweet, attentive, and kind. Thanks to her, it was the only reason I gave ⭐️’s.
Bathrooms needed tending too.

Went here on the way back from Pennsylvania, and it was a good place to stop and eat.
Place wasn’t busy at all and we came around 2:30 pm.
Lots of seating available, no wait, and the service was good. Our server was very nice.
I had a veggie plate, with a great baked potato and broccoli, but the mashed potatoes were dry sadly and the green beans lacking in flavor.
I also had a cup of their potato soup which was really good! Very creamy.
All in all it was a good stop, not the best of the best but definitely a solid place to get some food

Our first time here, I loved that they had a salad bar (I love a salad bar) with so much variety! I could have made that my entire meal easily!! But I also had a 7 oz steak and veg. It was perfect! My partner had fish and chips. He says the fish was hard and dry and not superb. Tyler was our server and he was very attentive.
