Absolutely loved everything about this place..Nothing better than the small town feel and atmosphere. The waitress was a doll amd worked her tail off taking care of all the tables. People she didn’t know to all the people she did!
We had the meatloaf and it was delicious with a side salad and broccoli
Would definitely recommend and hope to soon go back.

We stopped here while starving on a road trip and were very satisfied. I got the lemon pepper chicken with rice, carrots, and broccoli—the portions were generous, nicely seasoned, and sat well with my gluten sensitivity (probably hard to find gluten free food in that area and I didn’t even have to try alter something). My partner had chicken fried steak with fries and corn. The place/town was nearly empty at 2 pm on a Sunday but probably busier other times. Enjoyed a little walk around the town after too.

Driving through to Phoenix from Nebraska. Never stop at places to eat but hubby insisted so we took a chance and I’m thankful we did. Food was so flavorful and service was great. Our server was new but did a fantastic job. Very warm family atmosphere and I truly enjoyed the time spent. Nice to know quality of service and food still exists…at least here. Had pot roast and hubby had fajitas

So you walk in and are thrown back in time by about 50 years into a diner atmosphere. You are served warm rolls and then comes the food. I had the Chicken Fried Steak very tender and tasty.

Five star cafe. Hot beef sandwich is the best I’ve had. Super nice people great service. Fresh rolls were awesome and hot at the table. Wish I could stay a week and try other items cause you get feeling they are excellent as well. True comfort food

The food was great and the service was even better! Their burgers are great, but the real gem is the chicken fried steak. It’s fantastic. Only downside was that parking wasn’t good. At all. Overall a decent experience.

The rolls were still dough. I could mold it with my hands. I got the chicken fried chicken salad and I got food poisoning. There chicken was raw. Don’t recommend!

We eat here whenever we’re passing through. Great chicken-fried chicken, fried catfish, fried okra. The green beans are the BEST I’ve eaten. The secret ingredient? Brown sugar!

It’s was no wonder that there were only 4 other customers in the restaurant at should have been their busiest time of the day by the poor quality of food not to mention the rude service. Cattlemen’s used to be exceptional food and top notch service how ever after today’s experience it’s clear they have went way down hill. The wait staff was rude and the women with a million garage tattoos all over her body never once spoke to be to ask me how the food was, she did ask the other 2 tables. As I mentioned they were not busy at all and I had to go up to pay and get my take out order because the waitress was standing at the register on her phone. When I got the check I didn’t tip because in my book they didn’t earn a tip. After she noticed I wrote “no tip” and sign my copy, another lady with her daughter came in so she sat them and took their drink order, knowing I was waiting on my to go order. So I had to ask who I think was the manager trashy tattoo lady for my order she looked at me rolled her eyes, I explained I was in a hurry if I could please get my order. So she marched 6steps to the back to the waitress who was tending to the lady she had just sat and said “she is in a hurry and needs her order!” Then it took them another 3 or 4 minutes to bag my order. I watched the whole thing from about 10 feet away. The so called ot who I think was in charge tattoo lady brings me my to go order with a attitude she said “ here you go” I will never give cattlemen’s cafe in sublette ks another dime and I will be sure to spend this experience to everyone I know. It’s sad that the one of the only places to go out to dinner at in sublette is now a run down dump with staff who obviously feels like they deserve a 25%tip. My advice is to reconsider when thinking about trying Cattlemen’s in sublette ks. Food isn’t even good enough to feed my dog let alone a human
