Had the opportunity to have lunch here yesterday. The menu is pretty extensive lots of good choices. It’s decorated really cute and the host staff greeted us very nicely. Our waiter Mauricio did an excellent job throughout our lunch. I had the Birria tacos platter and the regular margarita on the rocks. All were excellent. Definitely welcome back here again.

Wow! For stumbling upon this place because it just so happened to be closest to our hotel, we made an incredible find.
Walking in the vibe was incredible. It’s so well decorated and you can tell the staff really takes care of the restaurant well. It was so clean and the energy was immaculate.
The food was incredible too! We all enjoyed a margarita – I had the mango one 🙂 – and then ordered food. My Tamala was delicious and pretty filling honestly. My mom couldn’t even finish her burrito it was so big! Definitely get good portions for the price here.
Definitely coming back 🙂

First time eating here for 2 people.
First it was busy being a Saturday night and we understood that we would have to wait, we were told our waiting time was around 20 minutes but we got a table less than 8 minutes.
This is my pros ➕️and cons➖️ about Catrina’s Tacos & Tequilas
Pros ➕️FOOD : Terrific for what we ordered
We started off with the basic food plates that just about every Mexican restaurant serves because we have been very disappointed from other Mexican restaurants and we didn’t know how this place would be.
The food was great
1 *order of the Mini Chimichangas
1 * order of the Pinneaple Fajitas
The food was great and you will get your money worth of food.
1 > Alcoholic drink a Tequila Sunrise
Service : Our server name was Cynthia, she was awesome
She wasn’t the type server when get into a restaurant and you don’t see them again until you are ready to leave, no Cynthia kept checking with us to make sure we were satisfied ✔️
The entire restaurant look great from the outside to the inside ✔️
The atmosphere was great ❗️
There was a diverse of people ️ eating from older couples ❤️ groups of people to families with children
In all, we were very impressed and we will be back to tryout other types of food that they serve.
Cons➖️ Not alot of a table for your food because your plates are large but I will take that any day for the food portions sizes ✔️

Update: Eating here for our second time and I seriously cannot come up with the words to describe how cool this place is and how good the food is. Same friendly smiles from all as well. My new fave!

The food is phenomenal in every way, taste, freshness, and presentation. The drinks are above average and service times are on point.
What really sets this place apart is the amazing staff and the vibe. From the moment you walk in everyone you encounter is smiling and happy to see you. The decor and music instantly feels like you are on vacation somewhere and stumbled into one of those places the locals go.
Hurry up and get here, you can thank me later….

Went tonight for the first time for dinner with sisters & cousin. Place was packed which was expected. Waited about 15-20 minutes. Our server was not that great! One of the drink menus had NO pricing! No non alcoholic drinks listed anywhere! Server couldn’t tell us which drinks they had! Food was okay! My sister’s “carne asada” was all fatty! Would only consider going back for appetizers & drinks! And MY OPINION, they cater so much better to the gueros than to their own people!!

Was greeted Immediately, seated at a booth. The back is straight up and hurts to sit against. I will have to request a table next time I come in. The chips are good and the regular salsa is better than canned. Ground beef tacos on request only with their meals, no discount. Has a good Hispanic vibe with the decorations and music.

The 3 tacos I ordered were about average for a sit down restaurant, definitely above Taco Bell. I would recommend that they start having taco Tuesday and perhaps tamale Thursdays. This would drive people in from the sorrounding neighborhoods.
My only real gripe is that they didn’t tell me it was extra for the spicy sauce. Meh, it was only a dollar but there was no price break down. I knew the taco price so I figured it out.

What a gem! Catrina’s Tacos has such a welcoming vibe and the staff makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful—the Al Pastor is a must-try! It’s clean, affordable, and easily my new favorite spot for lunch. So glad to have this place in Independence

From the decor outside all the way inside I was amazed and couldn’t wait to sit and eat. The service was AMAZING! We received our app in less then 10 min and dinner in less then 15. Our entire meal I listened to a beautiful voice sing in the kitchen and it almost brought me to tears. I love this beautiful culture. This was my first time and I will definitely come back with friends.

I got a Taco Salad and when I started to eat it I noticed that there was so much water at the bottom of the plate that it made the taco shell soggy. When I complained about it they kept giving me excuses saying it wasn’t water & they wanted to keep arguing with me instead of taking it back and giving me something else. They would not replace it with something else as I asked , but Instead they did not charge me but this is the second time that I’ve been unsatisfied with this restaurant.
Update : As you can see the reply to my review, they want to argue instead of just saying- were sorry your Taco Salad was not to your satisfaction. We will make sure the WATER is strained.
Ive ate chicken taco salads before and had no water, broth or cheese moisture. Customer is always correct.

Food and atmosphere were both amazing! Several photo ops on the exterior were fun too. Our server was so awesome! All the drinks and food sounded good so I asked for his opinion and he was spot on. Not only was he attentive to us but all the staff were! Several came by to make sure we were good and satisfied. The table side guacamole was a fun surprise as was their birthday celebrations!
