I’m in Maryland so I had to have a crab dip, and this one has lobster too! Creamy and super cheesy with good chunks of briny crab…

Very welcoming atmosphere, great service. The food was fantastic. Definitely my favorite Frederick Road restaurant. My friends and I go out to lunch once a month and order to share all we want to taste . Starting with appetizer, meal then desserts. Everything was perfect and the best part was being greeted by the owner while we were enjoying our visit. ( I’m assuming owner by how pleased she was due to our great experience)

This about my 4th or 5th visit. I don’t know if they had a change in chef, past visits were great, but today has caused me not to return. Ordered the Smoke House Chicken with sweet potato fries. Fries way over cooked don’t know why they even left the kitchen that way waitress should have caught that especially after we saw another table’s fries come out fresh and beautiful that she served. Then she agree yes they are a little over cooked. Then sandwich condiments, tomato’s lettuce etc; were not proportion for the sandwich which made it very sloppy. Even the Asian chicken wings were tough. My friend ordered the Nantucket Pasta, just bland needed plenty of black pepper and some chili flakes then it was edible. They did compensate by removing the chicken sandwich and fries off the check and offered a different choice, which I truly appreciated, however my appetite by then was gone.

Chloe was very nice! Enjoyed the French onion soup, fried green tomatoes with lump crab meat. Blackened rockfish Chesapeake style was cooked perfectly. Calamari was delicious! Busy place ..,,fun time!

We randomly decided to check this restaurant out while in the area. My husband wanted some oysters and the plan was to get just that. Ended up getting two different types of oysters, which he loved. Maryland crab soup, so yum! I got the tuna melt that came with a pickle and their homemade kettle chips enjoyed that very much. Also ordered the Talbot street toast, we both agreed everything was great and will be back! Glad we stumbled upon this restaurant.

This is easily one of the best meals ive had in ages, and i am EVIL when it fomes to reviews usually. So tasty its a shame this place is so far from my hometown or id be here minimum once a month for the rest of my life. I got the crab bisque and and off the waiters rec I got the blackened halibut with scampi sauce. I was dang near licking my plate clean.

We were able to get a table for New Year’s Eve and the service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. The unique specials really stood out as a nice option from the impressive menu. There’s always something for everyone, which makes this a great spot to visit again and again.

Catonsville Gourmet is consistent in all aspects: food quality, service, drinks, and atmosphere. They have daily specials as well as their tried and true menu selections. I have been a customer since it opened and never had a poor experience.
The Halibut, steak, and Sea Bass entrees are my go to choices for dinner and their shrimp salad in various forms are my go to lunch options.
I never feel rushed and the staff are very attentive without hovering.

This is a charming restaurant in a quaint town in Baltimore. I especially love sitting in the window booths that overlook the main street and watching people and cars pass by. While they are listed as a seafood restaurant, my favorite meal is Rehmert’s Short Ribs. It’s 3 fork tender, boneless short ribs with a delicious demi-glace. The mushroom risotto is chef’s kiss and I substitute the broccolini for the carrots and asparagus vegetable medley. My favorite dessert is the Amaretto Raspberry cake. Last, but not least, the service has been impeccable on every visit. I highly recommend Catonsville Gourmet if you’re looking for a nice dining experience.

The last few times we have dined at Catonsville Gourmet the filet has been tough to chew (medium rare) and no flavor. It used to be a great all the time.
Also the temps have not been consistent. Both got medium rare today and mine was rare and the misses meat was medium well.
Salad and bread came out after the main dishes as well.
Servers and staff are always friendly but somewhere along the line things aren’t up to their usual par.

The restaurant has mediocre food (too salty), a wine list, and service during dinner hours. Additionally, the hostess confirmed in advance that we would have a booth by the window for our special evening at 5pm, but unfortunately they forgot to reserve it. I normally provide pretty sweet reviews, but after eating their dishes, I’m super “salty” about the experience.
