Big breakfast was excellent with very good thicker bacon.
Very nice setting, reminds you of an old roadside Cafe. Very friendly staff and wasn’t blaring music like most place.
Would definitely recommend.
Notes: has lots of booth space, has 4 seat tables, and even an 8. There are high chairs. They sell coke products, sweet tea, hot chocolate, etc.
It is right off of Red Arrow Highway.
From my table, I had a clear view of the kitchen, and what I saw was concerning. None of the food prep staff or cooks were wearing gloves, and I witnessed multiple instances of cross-contamination. One cook, for example, handled raw meat, then used the same bare hands to plate hotcakes—touching both food and utensils without washing up. At one point, she even wiped sweat off her forehead and continued handling food, using only a shared wet rag to wipe her fingers.
Other staff also worked without gloves, touching raw and cooked items interchangeably. One young man prepping plates didn’t wash his hands regularly and handled everything from fries to buns without proper hygiene. I even overheard another customer remark, “She doesn’t have gloves on.”
Our food came out lukewarm after sitting on the counter for over 10 minutes. I watched as the same young man was told he added too many fries to a plate , he simply grabbed a handful with his bare hands and put them back in the fry bin.
Overall, the lack of food safety and cleanliness was disturbing. I won’t be returning, and I strongly recommend they revisit their health and safety protocols before more customers take notice.
