Ok so this place is usually a Hit or Miss with our family for some time now but last night… I don’t know who was in that kitchen but they did the thang last night! Everything was Hot Fresh and Season! We had the family meal shrimp and fish with fries… I can say this place serves good food when they want too..lol and last night food was delicious

I’ve ordered food from here a few times – never dined in – but I wanted to wait a while before leaving a review. I must say though, the food has been very consistent. It’s always seasoned very well – not too much, but not bland. They don’t over fry their catfish – which is very important to me. I’m very picky about where I eat catfish; I don’t get catfish from any place that I feel can’t cook it better than me This is honestly the only place I’ve had so far that I’m okay with eating it. So, that’s saying something. I’m not saying it’s the best in Houston, but it’s the best in the area – that I’ve had at least. The portions are worth the price as well. The photo is of the combination box; this two or three meals for me for under $20…cant beat that. I’m sure some people eat far more than I do, but for me this is a great deal.

Pretty disappointed. My daughter and I wanting catfish for lunch but the fish was very dry and over- fried. The only thing we ordered that was amazing were the hushpuppies. Also, it would have been nice to have plates to eat off of since we wanted to dine in.

Just your basic catfish place, but the fish is cooked pretty good. Light, balanced with the right amount of crunchy. Not too crispy that it hurts your jaws, and the breading is not too thick.
The cheese grits you can choose as a side is also pleasantly aromatic and even has sausages in it!
The chicken and sausage gumbo was a bit too peppery though.
Overall, very basic bayou food, but if catfish fillet is exactly what you crave… I’d recommend it.

I loved this place. Food was perfectly cooked, served quickly, and rather cheap too. The boudin egg rolls are a must. The fish was crispy, chicken was tender and the shrimp were perfect. Spicy tarter sauce!

2025: i think it’s because im black to be honest!! I WAS REFUSED A KIDS MEAL! My son is 7 and he wanted a kids meal and they said they don’t sell them!! Crazy! Madness! & I just bought one there last week!!!
Yes they do!! U can’t force me to buy a full meal when the food is mediocre! Yea IM COMPLETELY OVER THIS PLACE! I miss the original catfish station on 1960 with the original owner! These franchises have just gotten ridiculous! This is my last visit! GOODBYE CATFISH STATION (AKA) the station!

2023: WONT BE GETTING MY BUSINESS ANYMORE!! ✌️ I guess they have a new manager and she’s a lady! But charging for sauces when the prices have went up and the food hasn’t improved is ridiculous! I guess I’ll have to find a new catfish place because I don’t do changes too well especially when NO CHANGE has come behind the price increases! There are several locations (CATFISH STATION) (THE STATION) and the food quality is different every where you go. Owned now by different people. So no consistency! I’m giving 1 star ⭐️ and today will be the last day I come in.

Love their fish and tarter sauce! Their fries aren’t the best! Usually never fresh either. First time I went in the manager checked my ten dollar bill as if it was fake maybe they should invest in a bill reader to not make customers feel so awkward about spending their money. Other than that, great fish.

Under new management and he’s great!!! The food is fresh the fries are so much better!!! They also have a new Alfredo sauce and it’s freakin awesome! Wow! Definitely upgrade from 4 star to 5. Hands down best fish in Houston and trust me I’ve tried a lot of places!! Including your popular seafood restaurants

The food is what you’ve come to expect from a Catfish Station, and the inside has been decorated nicely within a good sized storefront.
Wait times can be a hit or miss depending on when you go… As is service. At lunch, the wait is minimal, food is freshly cooked to order, and staff is always friendly and personable… At the dinner rush, maybe not as much.

Really good food. Definitely impressed with their fried catfish filets. Although not what I was accustomed to, delightfully surprised of how fresh and tasty the fish was. The portions served to me this evening was appropriate for me (about the cuffed hand size of an iPhone Promax (???)). Anyway their fries were also on point and the shrimp was fine. Great take out experience, took about 15mins to get everything fresh and sorted.
