This place is absolutely amazing for New Orleans/southern cooking. Came here and tried their shrimp po boy wrap, then my girlfriend had their peach compote pancake with eggs and corned beef hash. I regret not taking a picture because not only was the taste very on point but the presentation was phenomenal. If you want great food at a great price GO TO THIS PLACE NOW! They even let us stay after closing!!!

I was getting my car detailed over at Exquisite’s (corner of Jennings/Adams) and so I figured I’d mosey over and check out CWC Cafe (where Nick’s Cafe once was until some months ago). Clean, great menu, awesome service.
Breakfast is the meal that needs to really SHINE in order to stand out from other restaurants. Everyone serves up the usual suspects – but it’s the creative stuff on the menu that always hooks me. That’s why I have my favorite joints in town. Not because of the usual suspects, but because of “the good stuff” they made up.
The Fay Fay Omelette is that kinda “creative stuff” I’m talking about. It’s effectively a Philly Cheesesteak – omelette.
Yeah – so – pretty good…
I’ll be coming back. If y’all haven’t checked them out – give it a shot. I’m reviewing this in June of 2020 (we’re in the COVID19 period) and they’ve taken ample distancing precautions and measures if you choose to dine in, as I did.

Great customer service, great food,.clean rest rooms, diverse and a family atmosphere. They remember your name and what you normally order. Their prices are low considering being downtown and 2 stop lights away from the state Capitol building..

First time here and we wasn’t disappointed. Servers were friendly & welcoming. Prices were decent. Our table size was 6. My chicken & waffles was perfect. The kids loved their mini pancake meals. My husband had shrimp & grits w/ their delicious peach cobbler pancakes.

Recently tried CWC and I was impressed! Food was fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed the candied yams, mac and cheese, catfish and fried chicken. Enjoyed the lunch so much I decided to try breakfast. Customer service I received was great and food was always ready at the estimated time. You guys have a new customer!

Great food, great service! Happened on this cafe while at laundromat down a few doors. So glad we did. Husband had shrimp and grits and said that they were excellent, I had just French toast and it was very good, cooked properly and a touch of orange. If we lived here would be back often.
