Had an awesome experience tonight for dinner! Was not busy and was seated quickly. Food was hot and tasted great! Anna was on top of the service game and made sure I was taken care of with offering suggestions and ensuring I had everything I needed. Pulled pork tacos were amazing and had a slight spicy kick to it. Curly fries were fresh and hot. Ordered a side salad as well which was just a good and ordinary salad. Very glad I came through for dinner!

On Friday Nov.7th, 2025 my wife and I met a friend for lunch at Catahoula. We are from Arizona and it was a first visit for all of us. The restaurant was nice and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful.
We ordered drinks, my Jack and Coke was very good as was my wife’s drink.
The table was very sticky and took the waitress a couple of attempts to get it clean. I ordered fried catfish and shrimp. The breading on the catfish fell off and the fish fillet fell apart when attempting to eat it. The fried shrimp were very much under done as well.
The fries were good but the catsup was a brand I never heard of, “1849” or something like that and was very off putting.
We also ordered desert (Key Lime pie) it was not fresh and tasted like a refrigerator.
In all the location was nice, the staff very nice but the food needs lots of work. I’m not sure we will go back next time we visit Monroe.

Amazing atmosphere, we ate on the porch. Meat pies, shrimp tacos, catfish, hushpuppies, pasta salad were really good. Service and dirnks.were excellent. Only negative things to say was the cole slaw wasn’t good.will definitely be back

Business lunch on the back deck with a view of the bayou. It wasn’t very busy-Monday. No wait. Apps were really good-catfish nuggets and fried spicy green beans. Blackened shrimp tacos were good. But very messy. Too much Coleslaw. Service was friendly and quick.

Great environment and great service! Our waitress, Carson, stayed on top of everything. The catfish bites were delicious! We also got the mozzarella sticks with a side salad with ranch and my fiancé got the Catahoula Burger which he said was wonderful. It was too cold to sit outside that day we were there but to back porch looks like a fun place to be while you eat.

Been there twice now for lunch. And both times the service and the food was amazing. Had the same server both times, Destiny. Both times she has been so amazing. She made my time there even better. She is an awesome person and the atmosphere and food was so delicious. Will keep coming back.

First time visit. Nothing but great things to say. It was clean, staff was friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. Fried catfish and shrimp, meat pies, fried mushrooms and wings were all great. Top it off with a Flying Tiger draft and no complaints here.

My wife and I were in Monroe, LA shopping and decided to dine out for lunch at Catahoula’s on the Bayou.
I had seen the other reviews and they were mostly negative ratings with a couple positive ratings. Even so, I decided to try it for myself.
When we got there around 12:30pm on a Saturday, we found the parking lot filled and a line of people out of the entrance! I immediately thought this place must be great to have this many people wanting to eat here!
My wife suggested we do our shopping first then return for a late lunch. I agreed and we did just that.
We returned around 2:30pm and had to just a mostly filled parking lot with some open spaces. After about a 10 to 15 minute wait we were seated outside on the back patio area.
I ordered the appetizer sampler (pick three items from a list of six items) with Natchitoches meat pies, fried mushrooms, and fried pickles.
For my main entree I chose the Catahoula Burger. 1/3 pound patty, bacon, habanero jack cheese, jalapeños, chipotle ranch, tomato, and grilled onions. (I had them hold the bacon). With a side of fries.
The burger was delicious, but not very spicy (at least to me, but I routinely eat very spicy foods). The fries were awesome, not too much salt and they were crisp and crunchy!
The inside dining area was rather loud, but it’s a sports bar with tvs on the walls and it was a bit crowded too. The outside patio was almost as crowded, but without the tvs and no walls for the sounds to echo off of. Plus there was a nice breeze for our enjoyment along with a view of the bayou.
The staff was polite, professional, and pleasant. Our food was delivered after just a couple minutes and the server made sure our needs were met.
I am pleased to say we had a very enjoyable lunch at Catahoula’s on the Bayou.
