Do not use their service to buy, maybe they are good at repairs.. I would had given them zero stars, but I needed to post this review. I never thought I was ever going to write a bad review about any company I had an issue with. Most companies either refunded me or made good on my purchase. Last year I bought a floor model from CFS and the person who helped was Latonia Taylor, I paid for this canvas $375 + 25 for shipping. I was told It will be 2-3 weeks. I waited and decided to call Latonia, I didn’t get a call back, I received an email confirming the package was received at my home. I never received the package. I called and finally, I received a call from Latonia, she said there will be an investigation and either I get a replacement canvas or a refund. I never heard from her or anybody else. I kept trying for months to get a hold of anyone at Sun garden, till a few weeks ago, I was told by Danielle that Latonia was no longer with the company. I explained to her several messages and emails. Danielle said she was going to review the messages and get back to me with an explanation or result. I waited a week and nothing. I finally get an “email” from someone in corporate, stating they can’t issue me a credit or another canvas because it was a floor model and it was cheaper than going through Sun garden and for me to file a claims report with UPS, are you kidding me, do they know that is been over 60 days to file a claim. Casual Furniture Services customer service is probably the worst i ever contacted. I do not know what to do at this point. I should have purchased the canvas from Sun garden instead of CDS. I’m only putting this review on line so many of you who use CDS services think about it well before you do it. Their customer service does not respond to a customer’s call almost at all and will give you answers through emails only. Stay away from them if you can, go straight through the manufacturer or company selling the merchandise.

Do not use this company. They never pick up the phone, nor do they respond to service requests. Here is my story. I bought a very expensive umbrella from Fortunoff and it functioned for about 4 years. When I needed re-cording, the store recommended Casual Furniture. They came to repair my umbrella and charged me the usual fee (about $250 or $270), which I considered reasonable at that time compared to the use and price of the umbrella. However, the next year the cord broke again. They serviced the umbrella last year free of charge, however, the season hasn’t even started this year, and the umbrella cord popped off when I tried to open it in May (we have no winds behind the house and the umbrella is not kept open unless in use). I have been trying to reach them to request service, but when I left a message that it should be serviced under warranty, they won’t return my phone calls. They will not stand by their work, and quite frankly, cords should last more than one year. I just don’t believe it’s worth fixing an umbrella every year for $260.

I needed a new canopy for a very large standing umbrella. I contacted customer service, Patricia, and the minute there was one in stock she arranged to have a technician contact me. Within a couple of days it was installed. The cost of the canopy and installation were so reasonable and the customer service and technician were professional, helpful and friendly. Thank you for a truly great experience. I LOVE my “new” umbrella!

I have nothing but good things to say about these folks. They are one of the few organizations that are willing to come from to Conn to DC (where I am) as well as go to Delaware, Virginia and other places that require them to travel.
The people on their phones were always professional and polite. And the people who came to look at my old furniture and determine costs and sizes were also quite professional.
My project required very special paint and repair and our communication was always excellent. My initial project took quite a while, but I clearly knew it would- and the work they did was top quality and I am VERY PLEASED.!
I would like to think that our communication and discussions were good from my end as well– and understanding that they are very busy and covering a large geographic area makes their work particularly easy as they work out of Connecticut. So having patience to get quality work done is fine with me.
Personally–I think they are very good and would recommend them.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. After calling them to ask them to come and see if my umbrella could be repaired, they refused and asked me to send pictures of the broken pieces. I did just as they requested. However, the reason for asking for them to come was to see if the umbrella was worth repairing. It was going to be a $75.00 service call which i was ok to pay. Instead, i got parts to replace my broken parts, paid $250+ dollars for an umbrella that still does not function. After speaking with Kathleen, (probably one of the rudest people I have ever spoken with) she told me it would be another $400.00 dollars to repair the umbrella so it would work. She implied that I broke it after it was repaired. I actually called he within hours of the technician leaving. This is unacceptable as who would pay almost $700.00 to repair an umbrella which I paid $695.00 for? Anyway, my advice, find another service provider.

I have nothing but compliments for the service from this organization. I have contacted them on a number of occasions all with positive results.
My recent experience was for a replacement cord for an umbrella, which had been repaired by Casual Furniture in 2012. They replaced the cord for free per their warranty. It was five years old! I didn’t expect that. Class act!!!

I would have to give this company zero stars. (I only put one as you can’t leave a review without checking at least one). Their service is beyond horrible. We waited weeks for a technician to come and measure our chairs and then weeks again for the installation appointment. The tech that finally came to do the installation left a note saying the measurements taken were not accurate and the slings for the chairs did not fit, “sorry for the inconvenience.” A week later I heard from the company to reschedule and when I got home, the back of one chair was completed and nothing else! No note, nothing! I have tried calling them repeatedly and have left numerous messages with no return call. They never answer their phone. They also don’t answer emails. And, we already paid them. STAY AWAY!

The absolute worst customer service ever. They very rarely answer the phone when you call. They take days to get back to you when you leave a message and they do not seem to have any sense of urgency when responding to a complaint.

I made the mistake of hiring this company to replace the slings on four Brown Jordan chaise lounges. Their technicians seemed competent and capable when they came out to measure the chaises for the new slings and they promised delivery and installation of the new slings in no more than six weeks. I was looking forward to having the work done and to my new slings being installed.

Unfortunately, it took eight weeks until the technicians came back with the new slings. To make matters worse, the new slings they brought did not fit! Talk about incompetent! I had to wait longer for them to order new slings and install them. The quality of the installation is only so so and the new slings are not as tight as the original ones were.

Now, to top it all off, the new slings they installed are getting spotted and discolored. I have complained to the company and, again, there is no sense of urgency in responding. If they do not get back to me soon I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contact the Connecticut Attorney General’s office as well. My advice is to stay away!
