I’ve been following your journey since the announcements last year, and finally getting to try it was worth the wait. The pulled pork sandwich was smoky, tender, and perfectly seasoned—classic backyard BBQ done right. The honey ribs? Fall-off-the-bone good with just the right balance of sweet and savory. And the chili… wow. You can tell it’s been perfected over years, I went with the classic beef chili and it had incredible depth of flavor—rich, hearty, with that homemade touch that chain spots can’t touch. The spot feels cozy and welcoming, like stepping into a friend’s backyard cookout. Service was friendly and quick, even on a busy night like Valentine’s Day. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything tastes fresh and made with care.
Rob, thank you for bringing this authentic spot to town—your passion for chili and BBQ shines through in every bite. This is now my go-to for comfort food in the area. Can’t wait to come back and try more varieties. Highly recommend to anyone who loves real-deal BBQ and chili!
Food: I had the 3 chili sampler (original, jerk chicken, and Italian no bean), jalapeno cheddar corn bread, and collard greens. Partner had pulled pork, Mac and cheese, and funnel cake fries. Everything came out quickly, the right temp, and ABSOLUTELY delicious. The collards were less salty than typical and it helped bring out the green’s flavors. The sauce on the pulled pork was unique and was just the right amount of sweet to tangy, on top of tender juicy pulled pork. The chilis though? There’s a reason why they opened up a chili restaurant – he knows his chili. The jerk chicken chili had so many different notes to it that I sat savoring each bite noticing new flavors. The original chili had sweet notes of chocolate paired with just the basic amount of heat as a perfect pairing. The Italian no bean was definitely not what I expected, in a good way. It reminded me of a lasagna soup, but with little liquid. The flavors were spot on.
Atmosphere: a bit of a smaller place, but it works in their favor. It felt cozy and everything smelled like delicious BBQ.
Overall: One of the best spots to eat in Montgomery County. Will be coming here regularly.
