This place is awesome. Niki the bartender, Rachel the server and all of the other staff are nothing but friendly and professional. Make a out of towner feel special! Wanting a perfectly prepared 12oz ribeye and some glenfiddich 12 year, chilled on a sunny Sunday? Nowhere else to go. Especially with the views of the lake out of the windows! Looking at their calendar, they host live music every weekend, and have dance lessons during the week. Outside of the venue they have boat slips, and fuel. They have rental cabins, pontoon and other rentals. Across the street they have a paved rv park that is super clean too. Only a few minutes outside of the Pittsburg and Mount Pleasant. Totally worth the visit!

This has a great spot, looks nice and clean inside and out. Came here with my family and extended family.
It was pretty slow, there were only two other tables of two and one of which wasn’t ordering food. After we placed our order, it took 46 minutes for the first two entrees to come out. A pizza and a burger, it took another 16 minutes for the rest of our table’s food to come out as the restaurant filled up and other tables food came out. The pizza was decent but $17 for a burger that the patty was dry and room temp fries was a let down. Do not ask for water, bring your own. My pregnant wife had to return her chicken salad as the chicken was slimy and not hot, luckily they did comp that dish. Not sure if anything was made fresh other than the pizza.
The best thing that our table ordered was the chicken strips, which the kids and adults chicken strips are the same plate but priced differently for some reason.
Service was slow, food was off and the water is too. I’d like to say we would be back to give them another chance but after paying $44 for two people I’d rather spend that money elsewhere since I could prepare better food at home.
I like leaving positive reviews but felt so strongly about this location that it became my first negative review. Hopefully the owner can get their service in order and produce a better product. If you’d like to have a few drinks and live music here is a good choice just don’t expect mush from the kitchen and service to be punctual.

While on vacation we stopped at Castaways this past Saturday for a bite to eat. Our visit was enhanced because of our excellent service by Stephanie. She was so friendly and attentive and went out of her way to make sure everything was as we ordered and that we were satisfied with our food. We eat out often when traveling and when at home and the service we receive is very important to us. While many take the time to complain about their service and food we always feel the opposite. When we receive outstanding service we try to take the time to share our experience with management and others.

The people are so friendly
Even though there was lots of construction this place has come a long way from what it was. Super stoked a can’t wait to see what the future brings. I know it’s already becoming so Amazing, and Angela the manager Rocks at her job. You should have seen all the hard work she put in to help make it a very memorable Labor Day weekend. All the staff was very much on their toes!! The kids fishing tournament was a hit .

Castaways is the new gem in Pittsburg, TX. Being gluten free I asked them if they could put salads on their new menu and they DID…and let me say it’s delicious. I have had it twice now once with grilled shrimp the other with grilled chicken and they did not disappoint. And not to mention our server Stephanie (on a packed night) was amazing!!! Great job!!

Amazing place!!! The food tastes home made and the ranch is SO GOOD!! We came with a big party on Halloween and the community atmosphere was so cute. The staff is all so kind and you can feel the love put into the food and atmosphere! I forgot to take pictures of the food cause it was so delicious!!

Took the Sailboat here with Family. After a long day on the Lake we decided to eat here. Was tha absolutely best food we have had. Onion Rings were to dire for and everybody was so nice. Aubrey was our server and she has a great personality and very attentive.

I had an incredible experience staying at Big Al’s! The renovations they’ve done are absolutely stunning – the place looks brand new and feels so welcoming. The restaurant on-site is a hidden gem. The food was so good and the menu had a little bit of everything! The staff in the restaurant is so friendly, and accommodating. They also offered live music and they seem to have fun events often, which added so much to the atmosphere while dining. It’s clear that the new owners really care about creating a great experience for their guests. I can’t wait to return and attend more events. I am so happy to see the new owners putting so much love into bringing this place back to life!

First time visiting. There has been so much work done and they keep upgrading everything. There was a great band the night we were there. Great atmosphere and friendly guests and the staff is awesome. We will be back.
