This is my first time ordering food from this restaurant using Uber eat. My food came on time as expected and was nice and hot temperature.
I ordered house special rice with has crab meat, shrimp, chicken and pork(which I eliminate)along with a side order of jerked chicken.
The food was really delicious. It really satisfied my pallets which I’ve had the craving for.
I would definitely ordering some more from from this restaurant again.

The girls and I got together to get food and drinks. When we arrived we found seats right away. There was a DJ and Natalie was our server. She was so nice and attentive. I ordered a rum punch which I didn’t care for so I stuck with red wine for the night. I also got the house special fried rice and it was ok tasting. What gave this spot 4 stars was the atmosphere and the music. I really enjoyed myself with my girls.

The food was OK. I believe they advertised as Guyanese Chinese food. Definitely not the Chinese food you would find in Guyana. But out of all the items the bbq spareribs were the hit of the order and we would definitely get those again.

I ordered the fried chicken with fried rice at Castaway Restaurant & Bar, and it was a fantastic meal from start to finish. The chicken came out golden and crispy, while the inside stayed tender and juicy. Paired with the flavorful fried rice—full of fresh vegetables and just the right seasoning—it was the perfect combination of crunch and savory comfort.
Generous portions, attentive service, and a laid-back atmosphere made it an all-around great dining experience. Highly recommend this dish if you’re looking for a hearty and delicious meal!

I ordered vegetable noodles soup and vegetable lomein. Food had no flavor whatsoever, BLAND!!!! I should have known from how the girl answered the phone that I should have hung up immediately. She didn’t even give me any info about my order, hung up, and I had to call back (another sign I should have let them cook it and then not show up). Then I was charged a higher price than what was on the menu. I will NEVER get food from here again, EVER! And the soup had no noodles, it’s like they threw the remainder of the vegetables in the lomein into the soup and I wouldn’t even call it a vegetable lomein bc there was only broccoli, 3-4 shreds of carrots, and cabbage. I don’t know how cabbage makes it into lomein or soup. The cabbage wasn’t even mixed in. Lastly, if I have to pay a cover charge to get in to a venue, im not spending money on drinks or anything else while im there (called pre-game before you go). Businesses actually lose money that way, it’s a deterrent; not a smart business call. I saw so many ppl walk away..which is more money at the bar.
Sidenote: I saw someone write in another post this is Jamaican food. NO IT ISN’T, not even close! Jamaicans cook better than this and there were no blk ppl in that kitchen.

Review Right
This place is okay, the music is good and it’s nice to find a place playing Caribbean music in Jersey… The food was bland, and drinks overpriced. The menu is limited and most of the food taste the same. The major downside, there was hair in one of the dishes we ordered.
Having your food at a restaurant come with hair is a major concern. And it was a long hair, tangled into the rice.
We know that things happen, but overall I would not recommend or return.
The outside patio is nice but fills up quickly with smokers and the music inside is really loud so that the sound can travel through.
