We came here for my birthday brunch after ditching Maple Bar due to cleanliness and lackluster service. Cast Iron Skillet and Grill was a refreshing change—friendly, prompt seating and a lively atmosphere kicked things off right.

Their weekend champagne brunch is a treat: a fixed price gets you an entrée, mimosas, and a starter plate of fruit and cakes to share. The lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes are our go-to, and while tasty and generously portioned, I wish they packed more punch—the lemon and ricotta flavors could be brighter. My chicken sausage and cheesy scrambled eggs were solid, rounding out the meal nicely.

Service was top-notch throughout, and it’s always a plus that parking in the area is easy. I’ve been here several times, and I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed it before—it’s consistently good. Not perfect, but definitely brunch-worthy.

We had a nice lunch and the food was great. Good steak and had enough for leftovers. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant.

We come in every Wednesday..I always have one of the two monthly specials. The Pumpkin Pie Martini is a MUST HAVE!!! If you haven’t tried one of the monthly specials, stop by and try one. great staff and good to go with the drinks.

Although I don’t live in the area, I regularly visit the Cast Iron Grill for lunch. It’s clean and comfortable with plenty of free parking. There is even a large outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. I have met friends here over many years and have found the food is consistently good and reasonably priced–which is particularly great given the wide variety of options! I also have really enjoyed the friendly, helpful and professional demeanor of my favorite server, Cat. She is always knowledgeable about the specials and seems truly committed to helping provide excellent service.

I wish I could give 10 stars. We had my birthday lunch/dinner here on a Sunday afternoon. We both loved our meals. Staff were all so kind and attentive. This might be our Sunday afternoon spot.

After a long, hot 250-mile motorcycle ride down from the Sierras, Cast Iron Grill & Bar was exactly what we needed. The vibe at the bar was relaxed and welcoming, with a great selection of beers on tap. My riding partner suggested the Michelob Ultra — ice cold, just the way you want it after a day in the sun. (Besides, as Billy Bob Thornton says, drinking Ultra is “not really drinking” — so we felt good about going for the 20 oz!)
The menu blew us away — more like a fine dining restaurant than your average bar and grill. We were torn on what to order until our server, Candace, raved about the bone-in pork chop with sautéed mushrooms. She was absolutely right. Between the perfectly cooked chop, the rich pan sauce, and the creamy puréed potatoes, this meal felt like a well-earned reward for the ride.
Candace’s recommendation made the night, and our dinner at Cast Iron Grill ended up being the highlight of our 1,500-mile trip. Highly recommended if you find yourself in the area!

Food: With the most respect possible, the food is horrible here. Everything *looked* great but when we bit into it? No flavor, no seasoning, no nothing! I didn’t want to waste my date’s $ so I tried to see the Chicken Bacon pasta through but even he took a bite & ran to the bathroom to spit it out. After his reaction & his understanding of my food being disgusting, I felt less bad about not wanting the food but. . .please look into adding *seasoning with flavor* to the dishes. The pasta was so gross he took his “Philly cheesesteak” (your version) to go & never looked at it for the rest of the night. I am extremely disappointed. Our bill was $78 for a bunch of unseasoned food. The shrimp appetizer was the only okay thing & the shrimp was a bit undercooked. I only took two small bites of that pasta so I’m considering calling & asking to be refunded for that, period. Plate was still entirely full. Check the cameras, run em. Do whatever. Our reactions are so raw & honest. You can see us look at each other like, “Damn we just wasted a good chunk of money on this mess.”

Service: 2 stars. Our appetizer took too long to come out to the point our waitress had to reassure us everything was still good. Then the table to my right got their food first even though my date & I arrived & placed our appetizer earlier.

Atmosphere: The vibe was so nice. The picture across the restaurant is super nice. Um, definitely a place for a certain audience though. Please look into seasoning the food better. This place would have been an 8/10 but it’s a 0/10 & I’m so disappointed.

We were there for brunch and it was delicious. I had the Tri-tip potato bake. Great portions tri-tip was tender, potatoes baked crispy and it came with 3 eggs (Sunnyside up). But the chipotle aioli was the show stopper. Wife had the shrimp jambalaya. Not too spicy but flavorful. Brunch came with our own bottle of champagne for the mimosa. All for $28. Service was tentative but not overly with the “how is everything” service every 3 mins. Needless to say we will return.

Great food, great bar, good poors. Ordered my burger medium well (I typically do this just to make sure that it’s not rare as it so often is at places) but it came back very well done, still delicious in spite of being well done but could have been cooked better. Not too busy but seemed a bit understaffed. All in all a great place and will be going back regularly.
