At our Jacksonville, FL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Great customer service in the drive-through. The girl was wonderful was very responsive. Easy to speak to asked if I needed anything. It was persistent on the wait at the time and even gave me suggestions with no problem.

I went today at their grand reopening!! I think this reboot will do wonders. I did not catch the cashiers name but she was amazing and did an amazing job. She suggested sales and upgrades. The food came out hot and fresh and I love how they show you the food before they bag it up to make sure that it is up to your standards. Great job and welcome back to Dunn ave.

My dad wanted to stop by while we were on the road. To say that no one was thoroughly cleaning inside was an understatement. I wasn’t eating anything from here.
There seemed to be poor communication between the staff working the register and those in the kitchen. Then you had staff who weren’t on the clock per their own words, but were lounging in the dining area where customers were. The only reason I didn’t take a picture is because I couldn’t have done so discreetly.

A waste of money. The food is horrible! There was no taste and the texture of the fish was weird and made me sick to my stomach. The shrimp was horrible too. I wish they go back to the food they used to serve.

Yesterday evening I ordered my meal to go. It consisted of the cat fish meal and sandwich. While it is their policy to open up the containers so you can see your meal before you leave. I recommend that you have them unwrap sandwiches as well. The meals were for dinner, and I didn’t open the sandwich until it was time to eat only to discover that the sandwich was not correct. Since it was late I did not want return the meal. However, I did take a photo of it and have my receipt. I will be going back to get what I paid for. Again, check your sandwiches

Service was courteous but cold and unattentive. I had the catfish, it was cooked and seasoned well, coleslaw very average, hush puppies good and the fries almost undercooked and cold. I had to ask for.my drink cup and also ketchup. The place is pretty run down but the food was good for the price. Probably won’t be back.

But they’re right on time. Always hot and good.
It even tasted good the next day.
I’m never disappointed when it comes to eating at Captain D’s. Didn’t like the fact we had to go through the drive through. I prefer to go inside.
But for some reason their doors were locked.
That didn’t affect the hot fresh fish.
Didn’t care for the warm shrimp.
