Amber was awesome, very personable and loved sharing stories she has acquired while working at Cast Iron Craft House. My mom and I stopped by on our way up to Arlington for a short stay and we really wanted some good soup, which was delivered and more here! Started with the cheese fritters, which were very fresh and very tasty. We both got a simple meal, grilled cheese and tomato bisque. If I could remember the exact names while writing this review I would include them but I do remember what came on the sandwiches! I had one with smoked gouda, bacon and sauerkraut. My mom ordered one with cinnamon, brie and apples. Both were worthy of half of each being swapped so we could both enjoy what the other ordered. Amber came by intermittently and we talked about food service, having been in the industry myself it was a fun conversation each time. Will definitely be returning if we come back this way another time!

Their waffle fries are seriously the best, super crispy and fluffy on the inside. I had their regular grilled chicken sandwich and it was so juicy. They also have a garlic aioli that is amazing. Highly recommend!

The burger (Bleu Steel Burger) was just ok. Very one note with a patty that needs to be a bit thicker. I ordered medium and got well with no chance to get the flavor good meat deserves due to thickness and heat. The onions were so thin and mushy I could not really taste them over the cheese. The BBQ sauce was sweet with almost no acid so it was very one note.
The poppers were under with the same problem. Nothing really popped.
The service had a bit of a confrontational element and a bit sour.

MacKenzie was our waitress this time. She worked with the allergies and different tastes for our party to help us find tge perfect drinks. Everything was delicious especially the mixed drinks and Hummus! Love the outdoor seating and quiet. Just off of main street but feels worlds away. The music is varied and perfect. This might be our new spot!

The staff are very nice and the food is excellent. We had the jalapeño popper starter and they take a little getting used to because they’re not the cheap squishy kind you get elsewhere. They are freshly sliced and filled with cheese, breadcrumb and then I guess broiled briefly. The only thing I’d change about them is maybe char the pepper before filling and broiling to bring out the flavor of the pepper more, but they are excellent either way.
My wife had “the cooper” grilled cheese and loved it. Be mindful of the chicken as how it’s placed in the basket, it’ll likely run to one side of the bread with the amount of cheese and buttery goodness they have sliding out of the sandwich.
I had the “Bleu Steel Burger” medium and it was delicious. The bacon was perfectly cooked, as was the burger. There is just enough blue cheese and the roll was perfect. I wish there was a little more bbq but I could have asked for more and didn’t, as I don’t need the calories :).
The fries are very much like chick fila, so there isn’t much to say. We didn’t get flavored fries but will next time.
The drink selection is excellent. If you enjoy obscure cocktails with a spicy kick, or beer you can’t really find without visiting a specialty beer store or a small brewery, this is the place to go. It has a nice local mom and pop bar feel without the sticky floors and cigarette smell.
Do yourself a favor and visit this gem.

Food is phenomenal. Employees were extremely knowledgeable about their food. Stopped in just to grab a quick bite on the way home from picking up my son in VA. Drove back a week later just to enjoy the food and atmosphere again. Hands down one if the best restaurants/taverns around!

Liked the deviled eggs with bacon. Amazing. Jalapeño poppers not so much. The burger is absolutely stunning. Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Hands down. The chicken was good but not so much. Overall great experience. If your looking for a bar to grab good food and just hand out this is it. Live dj as well.

I should have ordered more food bc we just kept going back! We’ve eaten here a number of times & now know the event space lives up to the same quality food & service downstairs. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. My rum cocktail was sweet, refreshing, and balanced. The cheese fritters were a bit greasy but still enjoyable, especially with the dipping sauces. My favorite had to be the mac and cheese with pork belly. The cheesiness really came through. The pork belly was perfectly prepared, crispy on the outside, tender and fatty on the inside, and added a wonderful, rich component to the already delicious dish. The service was fast, attentive, and friendly.
