Incredible experience at Cask & Ale. The service was truly top-tier — knowledgeable, welcoming, and generous without being over the top. They treated us to a shot of their ceremonial turkey tequila (which was phenomenal) and then gave us the best deal possible on a bottle to take home. You can tell they genuinely care about the experience, not just the sale. We’ll absolutely be back and recommending this spot to everyone who appreciates great spirits and even better hospitality.

Brunch at Cask & Ale continues to be one of our favorite traditions as regulars — and today was another reminder of why. We came in for brunch, enjoyed amazing food, sipped on perfectly balanced mimosas, and were treated to live jazz music that elevated the entire experience. The music created such a smooth, upbeat vibe — relaxed but vibrant — exactly what a great brunch should feel like.
Everything was on point, from the energy in the room to the consistency of the food and drinks. It’s always welcoming, always polished, and always a great atmosphere.
We especially want to recognize Ethan, their bar back, who was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, constantly moving, and seamlessly supporting the bar team. You could see him anticipating needs, keeping everything flowing, and making sure the experience stayed top-tier. That kind of behind-the-scenes excellence makes a real difference, and it did not go unnoticed.

Even during the busiest hours, the bar manager Sydney was incredibly attentive, fast, and genuinely welcoming. It’s rare to see someone manage so much at once while still making every guest feel seen and cared for. The service was efficient without ever feeling rushed, and her positive personality truly set the tone for the entire experience. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it makes a huge difference. Outstanding service all around!

I really like their cocktails, I usually go in the evening on weekends, but today I tried their happy hour, and we tried the tacos and I liked them, there are always a lot of people and the atmosphere is nice, the waiters are always very kind

I am deeply disturbed by my experience at Cask & Ale. This was my second visit, and what happened was scary enough that I almost called 911 from the bathroom.
While I was in the unisex bathroom after waiting in line with my friend, a male security guard began violently pounding on the door, shaking the handle and pulling on the door as if trying to open it!(my friend witnessed this from the hallway).. When I came out, the security guy was aggressive & tried to force me through a back alley door. I had no idea why he was so angry or why he was trying to isolate me into an alley. I refused and told him I was NOT going out the back door to an alley!! I walked toward the front and him and another security followed me, said I had to leave, which of course I would, I don’t know why I was being asked to leave, but this was scary and I just wanted to get out safely. Another security guy was pushing me from behind as I was walking until I started recording him, then he hid his face.. I tried to report what happened to the front doorman, but he refused to hear anything.
This behavior was threatening and completely inappropriate. I hope there is video footage in the bar for management to review.

This bar is handsdown one of the best spots downtown. The drinks are elevated and classy, the atmosphere is unmatched, and it’s easily the most stylish and polished place in the area. It strikes the perfect balance between upscale and energetic, making it the kind of place you want to stay all night. On top of that, the staff is professional, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which makes the whole experience feel effortless.
A huge part of what makes this place stand out is the leadership. Bar Manager Sid is truly one of the most talented managers I’ve ever encountered ….attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly the reason everything runs so smoothly. You can feel the standard the moment you walk in, and it shows in every detail. Absolute must-visit.

The most wonderful place I ever been in the whole downtown Sarasota, Fernando, Cindy and everybody else wonderful service grateful great drinks and you do not have to ask for your receipts. Anytime you open up a tab because they are trustworthy.

Brunch here absolutely hit the spot. The special breakfast sandwich with avocado was exactly what I needed on a Saturday morning to bounce back from a fun Friday. Simple, balanced, and incredibly satisfying.
