I just need to know how I can get another slice of the coquito tres leches cake delivered to NY?
Besides that, the service was wonderful! A server from another table noticed my children were hungry and brought them orange slices (how sweet)! The complimentary fritters and soup were so tasty! Our entrees were ALL so so good! I devoured my pan fried whole red snapper, my kids devoured their churrasco! Everyone at the table was happy. That tres leches was on another level though. Will definitely return next time I’m in PR!

This was one of my favorite dining experiences while in PR. The atmosphere is very inviting and feels like you’re eating at a dear friend’s home.
The wine and drink selection are varied enough for everyone to be pleased.
While the menu was also perfectly curated, the specials were quite enticing. A seafood stew and swordfish with local peas were appealing options!
Now the service was phenomenal, needless to say, this will be a regular spot for a future trip.
Outside of the restaurant itself, the neighborhood is charming, mature trees line quiet streets filled with cafes and restaurants.
Do yourself a favor and don’t pass this place up. Reservations are highly recommended.

I absolutely LOVE Casita Miramar! I’ve been coming here for years and although it has changed some, the delicious food and incredible service has been consistent. During the most recent visit, I had the fish on top of the puree which was fantastic. I always order a side of tostones to top it off. My guest had the chicken stew with white rice and beans – and they also enjoyed it! The cocktails and desserts are perfection! I highly recommend Casita Miramar to locals and tourists.

3/5 – Great food, not so great service
I’ll start by saying that the food at Casita Miramar was great. The dishes that we ordered had great portions and were seasoned just right. So the food part of the restaurant experience was great. Where the experience takes a wrong turn is on the service side. The restaurant is just too popular for the staffing levels they manage, and the staff is not able to provide the expected service.

Ordered the octopus shrimp salad & fried cheese for appetizer , churrasco (skirt steak) for entree, tres leches for dessert. If I came again I wouldn’t order the fried cheese because it’s more on the sweet side bc of the fruit sauce. I would prefer to have a more savory not sweet appetizer. Everything else was good, the salad I added a little bit of the salsa in there for extra flavor. I sat outside in the patio area & enjoyed that. I had the Miramar spritz cocktail it was great ! A guest had a dog with a service animal vest so they are lenient with dogs I would assume.

The food is the real highlight here!! Beautiful, authentic local PR food really hit the spot for our last night on the island!
Service was friendly albeit a little slow – they did bring out a tres leches cake for our friend’s birthday which was excellent!
Docked one star because although we were excited to get seated in a private room for our party of 7, it was kind of like a boiler/HVAC room?? Very noisy and out of the way of the restaurant itself, which ruined the ambience of the evening a little.

Wow! If you are in San Juan and want quality PR food this is the place. Amazing atmosphere, amazing service from Gabriel! Who was a top guy speaking English and Spanish. He also gave many recommendations. The food was top quality and really good. I highly recommend it. Mahi Mahi and Cabrito were both delicious. We had a terrific night! Make sure you book a reservation in advance it’s very popular for a reason.

We walked in on a whim without a reservation (don’t do this) and the hostess who greeted us was very friendly but let us know they were fully committed. It was already pretty late so we stepped aside to figure out our options nearby, she helped with some recommendations. A few minutes later she said a table had left and she might be able to squeeze us in. We were elated as the options nearby didn’t appeal to us. As she went to check, a second hostess came by, she was more aggressive and frankly sort of rude, we had explained we were being helped already. Despite the rude hostess, the food, ambiance, and service absolutely made up for it. As a hospitality person myself, a hostess can make or break the experience for a guest, as it is your first line of defense so it is sort of disappointing that happened but I’m grateful to the initial host who was so pleasant and really went above and beyond to turn our night around. We were already having a stressful travel day so it truly was the highlight of our day. I ordered the local catch (Mahi Mahi on this day) with taro root mash & beurre blanc and it was outstanding!!! Mofongo was just okay. Cocktails were inventive and delicious. I loved that they had Nebbiolo by the glass, my favorite. Our server was a wealth of knowledge and had a great personality. Probably the best service I’ve had on the island. As a New Yorker I pull back my expectations of quick, rushed service anywhere outside of NY. All in all a wonderful experience. I would like to come back with a reservation and more time on my hands to explore the menu.

The restaurant was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful. The lighting was perfect for an evening meal. The food was incredible. So delicious. We each ordered different items and we loved every dish. The portion sizes were large.
The staff was so very nice. They even gave us a birthday dessert of tres leche cake.
The service and food for an absolutely perfect night. It’s very affordable. It’s a must go too!!!

My wife and I tried this place after reading the reviews online. It did not disappoint!
Started us off with complimentary soup and small bacalaito. Very fresh and tasty.
Then we had the alcapurria, which were tasty but quite small.
For dinner I had the goat braised in wine and she had bistec. Both were delicious.
For dessert we had the coquito tres leches. Was moist and extremely tasty.
Would definitely recommend if you are staying in San Juan.
