The food is okay good but not worth price— nothing bad, but nothing that stands out either. Unfortunately, the prices have gone up significantly and the value just isn’t there anymore. Paying around $75 for three tacos, a small menudo, and drinks feels excessive for what you get. It used to be a good spot at a fair price, but now it’s mediocre for the cost. Overall, it’s fine, just not worth the current prices.

I am loving Casarez! The fajita nachos were incredible big chunks of tender beef fajita meat with a savory flavor. I enjoyed it so much I came back for lunch and tried the cheese enchiladas, which were delicious and such a great deal (under $10 with rice and beans!). The food is fresh, flavorful, and the service is wonderful. Will def come back to try more items!

I went there this Sunday morning to get the eggs your way with barbacoa to go, everything in the plate was old and cold. Very disappointed I threw it away wasted money! I wouldn’t have post a bad review, but it’s not right to serve this type of food to anyone! I would not serve this to a dog off the streets.YUK

This is what we have been looking for. I found it and the Wifey agreed to give this place a try Sunday Late Morning. I had the Machacado con Juevos Plate & She had the Barbacoa con Juevos Plate. Tortillas tasted Home Made. Very happy with everything. They were packed when we got here but our food came out pretty quick..!!

Atmosphere: The vibes were vibing! Families were eating and folks were picking up their food to go which was a good sign for us as first timers! Spanish music playing, great variety. They’re some Fuerza Regida fans!! 😀 lol
Food:
Small bowl of menudo was $11… seemed pricey but it was good. $1 up charge for tortillas de mano.
Fajita quesadilla 10/10.
Gordita de fajita 10/10.
Taco de fajita (handmade tortilla topped it off but they didn’t say it would be an extra 35¢ for it). Still 10/10.
They did not hold back on the fajita in our entrees, we appreciate that!!
Drinks: Jarritos de pina was nice and cold!
Salsas: If you’re into spicy salsas, their salsas are not spicy at all. I asked for a spicier one and they did not have any.
It seems like there were a lot of regulars there! I would definitely go back to try other dishes.

Last minute choice while in Houston. The had plenty of empty tables on a Saturday night. The service was attentive.. The menu was super extensive. Aqua frescas were too sweet. Food was hot and fresh and had good flavor. Overall good experience..

This is my go to place. Small place with a good taste.
I didn’t know I could sub the breakfast friend potatoes for grilled veggies. Awesome choice.
Handmade Tortillas.
Green sauce is good when not too hot
Red sauce is also good when not too spicy
Breakfast is my preferred time to visit. Overall I suggest this place as it’s consistent with food quality and good cooks.

Best Tex-Mex restaurant around. This place has been so good to me for over 25 years. The prices are reasonable, and you get a lot for your money. The menu has a lot of options, including breakfast. I don’t get to spend much time in this area anymore, but when I can, I stop by. They also have great margaritas and micheladas. The beer selection is great they carry all the popular domestics and imports as well. They also start you off with chips and two different salsas. The green one is my favorite, and it’s spicy. I recommend you get the fajitas. The portions are great. I had menudo on this visit. If you are at a hotel or waiting for a flight from Hobby airport, do yourself a favor and stop in for a great experience.

I just picked up a plate for breakfast eggs your way with a side of barbacoa. Very disappointed with the food quality. The potatoes were super dry lime they were sitting in a container for a long time. The barbacoa was soggy not fresh. The beans and eggs were ok. If the owner sat down and ate this plate he would probably fire the cook. I been a customer for a long time and this really made me come to a decision to never go back to Casarez I will take my business somewhere else. They have been in business for years and is sad to see the food quality is very unacceptable. I spent $14 bucks on a breakfast plate went straight to the trash. I do not need my money back I will take the loss lesson learned. The will take the loss of loosing a customer for life. I highly recommend the owners to keep an eye on the cook. The to go orders is what keeps your business going. I wish you the best and continued success..
