I live very close by and would say this is a good but not great Americanized Mexican food restaurant. It’s been open since 1980 and is quite popular here in Venice. Inside is fairly large with many different seating options from booth, to table, to bar seating. Our server was polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. They also make the tortillas right on site and they were one of the best parts of the meal because they were absolutely delicious and very fresh. There is also a large free parking lot attached on the side and in the back of the restaurant.

For this visit I ordered the Carne Asada Tampiqueña and enjoyed it. The carne was a bit fattier than I prefer and I was not a huge fan of the rice but the tortillas and the side enchilada were very good, I appreciated the crispy cheese topper on the enchilada specifically.

Overall, I would say this is a solid option for a casual Mexican lunch or dinner with friends or family especially if you are in a rush. The location is honestly really great and the easy parking is also a big bonus.

Honestly, what else can be said about this place with cult following, that hasn’t been said before. Great food, margaritas, atmosphere, crowds, supporting stuff… bottom line is get some good happy people around you and come over to see it yourself. Reasonably priced, with plenty of dedicated parking available. If you come during hot dinner hours expect some wait time. Starting mystery, of course, is why is the Mexican food place named Casablanca? Come and solve it yourself

There is no better place for tacos. But it is the most authentic fine dining Mexican food. They have a tequila cart that co.es around and the energy incredible. The tortillas are fresh, made to order and don’t get me started on the margaritas. One will make you feel pretty relaxed!!!

An atmospheric spot with lots of decor from the movie Casablanca. It’s better to book a table in advance. On Sunday evening it was very crowded; we were lucky to get a free table outside. But inside, the atmosphere is very cozy, and next time I’d like to sit there. The food and drinks are delicious, and the portions are large

Coming to LA From the East Coast, I knew I wanted to get good Mexican food – hard to find where I’m from. Casablanca was recommended to me and I am so glad. Took myself for a solo date and had quick and welcoming service, a fabulous mimosa (and one to go!), and all the food I was craving. I’m vegetarian and had the chile relleno, a cheese enchilada, and queso fundido with mushrooms. Everything was delicious. The tortillas were made in front of me right in the middle of the room. Both salsas brought to me were flavorful and unique. The live music was very sweet. The decor, from my understanding, was based on the movie which I had never seen, but I could tell it’s very lively. The atmosphere and food/drink brought me back to Mexico. Yum. I missed it as soon as I ate it. Next time I’m in LA I’ll be back. Staff was great and pricing was decent.

Casablanca was a FANTASTIC restaurant! My girlfriend took me here to celebrate and I loved it. I had never heard of it, but the food was delicious and the margaritas were excellent! The whole place is a love letter to the movie Casablanca, with tons of rare memorabilia that would make any film fan jealous. I’m already planning my next visit!
